Hans and Carolyn got to know each other a bit better in that café. Well mostly Hans was doing all the questioning. Carolyn still found it hard to believe a man of Hans stature would find her interesting in any shape, form or size.

She wandered how long it would take him to get bored of her. Until then she spoke nothing but the truth. She became an open book and watched him intently but unfortunately Hans didn't grow bored of her, in fact he seemed to light up at learning new things about her. The atmosphere was relaxed around them, both parties felt at peace.

A loud ringing brought the two back to planet earth. Carolyn looked at her phone and saw the timer going off. A small part of her wished it just stayed quiet for a few moments longer. But work waited for no man, so with a heavy sigh she switched the alarm off and looked at the man before her who had a pout on his face.

Hans felt his heart plummet at the thought of his Kitten leaving him so soon. A chill wrapped around him at the mere thought.

"Work time." Carolyn said feeling her heart sink at the thought of leaving his company.

Just being in Hans company made her forget everything that came to mind besides joy and happiness. His presence made her see colours she'd never imagined before and leaving his comfort meant going back to that icy cold, dull life of hers. A life without colour, a life without adrenaline that made her get out of her own skin and expressing herself fully.

A life without Hans felt over all depressing in every sense of the word. Which was strange for her to think about because she just met the man. Yet it felt like she'd known him her entire life. She felt a warmth unexplainable whenever he was around and leaving his presence made that feeling almost nonexistent.

Like stepping on water while wearing socks or stepping on Lego after a long tiring day. A dull emotionless world that leaves you on the edge of the end. As much as she knew nothing about Hans and the fact that he could be a serial killer, she didn't care about that. If it meant feeling such emotions for a short time then she would endure whatever came after.

Such as the saying,"It's better to have loved then to have not loved at all." Call her an adrenaline junkie but she craved to feel this feeling day in and day out. After all life was meant to be lived and full of mistakes and lessons. So if this was a lesson from the universe then Carolyn was prepared for it.

"What a pity," Hans said with dread written on his face.

With her he wore his emotions on his sleeves, something that made Carolyn be drawn to him more. For such a luxurious guy he didn't show it off, he seemed like a regular guy who liked to dress up but boy was she so wrong.

According to Hans he was a business owner of a very large company and probably earned millions per year. Carolyn couldn't believe her ears as he said this but she wasn't exactly impressed by the fact that he had so much money but by how he carried himself as a humble guy. She found that so attractive and wondered how a guy such as himself could be single, she couldn't believe it.

"So tomorrow same time same place?" Hans asked hopefully with a boyish smile.

Carolyn smiled as she looked into his warm eyes. She shivered as his eyes met hers, his stare so intense and unwavering.

"Same time same place." She said with a soft smile.

Hans flagged down their waiter and paid for the bill without hesitation.

"Thank you," Carolyn said politely. He didn't make her feel uncomfortable about paying him back which made her more attracted to him if that was even possible.

Hans was really getting those brownie points. Carolyn and Hans got up before walked beside each other out the Cafè.

Carolyn had forgotten all about the rain pouring down outside until the door was opened. The chill air wrapped around her like a blanket. A shiver ran down her spine as she hugged herself. Hans immediately took off his jacket and gently placed it around her shoulders while keeping his distance.
