"Another," Carolyn said with a giggle.
This order would be her third Irish whiskey. Hans on the other hand decided on trying to stay sober as possible considering he was their driver.
"That's definitely your last drink kitten." He playfully warned her.
"Noooo, I wantt moreee." Carolyn said excitedly but slurred over her words.
Hans chuckled as he looked at her with love in his eyes. He couldn't imagine what was happening in that moment. To have Carolyn laughing and enjoying herself right opposite him was a blessing he didn't deserve.
"No can do Kitten, you've got work tomorrow." Hans smirked.
"Meanie," Carolyn pouted as she looked at him with sleepy eyes.
The only thing on her mind was reckless things, most of them involving Hans and her in bed. Looking at him in such a state made him even more irresistible to her, her body tingled from the alcohol but as well as from the desire to have Hans in every sense of the word.
"You're hottt," she emphasised the last word with a wide grin.
Hans couldn't contain the wide smile on his face. One thing he realised about tipsy Carolyn was the fact that she was brutally honest. Carolyn wasn't the only one with insecurities, Hans had his own demons as well. One of them being his looks, he had a hard time trying to find love with his looks. All the women he's been with wronged him over and over, only wanting him for his money and looks.
Eventually he gave up trying to get a girlfriend and settled for hookups. They did no damage to him and quenched his thirst. Hence his issues with every woman he met, they always complimented how handsome he was. But deep down he knew each compliment came with conditions. The corners of his lips crawled up into a smirk as he looked at the woman before him. Without a shadow of a doubt he knew she didn't care about his money let alone his looks. She cared about his heart and that's what made him fall for her even harder.
"What else do you like about me?" He asked innocently.
He couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to find out what she really thought about him.
"Ooh that's easyyy, I like how you don't look at me without disgust. I *hiccup* like how you're so considerate and not a dickhead. And I love how you don't care where I come from." Carolyn rambled on, tripping over her own words.
Her tongue felt so heavy and numb. Hans couldn't believe what he was hearing. His heart shattered at her words.
"Why would I look at you with disgust?" He asked with pain behind his voice.
"Well *hiccup* look at me, I'm not that good looking. Not to mention I'm a black girl. You don't exactly see many interracial couples around these days." Carolyn said with a yawn.
Hans was speechless, he couldn't understand why she thought she wasn't beautiful. When he looked at her, all he saw was true beauty. A beauty that is unmeasurable.
"I don't want you to say such horrible things about yourself. You are breath taking and everything about you is perfect kitten. And you should be proud and confident in your own skin. Don't let anyone make you feel uncomfortable because of that, ok?" Hans asked with tender, loving eyes.
Carolyn couldn't focus on much of what he was saying considering her state. But she did understand he was trying to make her feel better and that made her smile wide.
"I really like you, you're like Damien. Dangerous but sexy." She giggled before laying her head on the table, her eyes getting too heavy to hold up. Little did she know she was right in every sense of the word, Hans was sexy but dangerous.
"I think it's time to go home." Hans said as he got up.
"Nooo," Carolyn groaned.
"Yes Kitten." Hans said as he pulled back her chair.
Carolyn groaned but got up, staggering on her feet but Hans caught her and steadied her with an arm around her waist.
Hans paid the bill before taking Carolyn to the car. He gently helped her get into the passenger seat and put her seatbelt on. He started the car and watch in the corner of his eye as Carolyn snuggled into her seat. A smile graced his lips.
The ride to her place was quick and short, way too quick for Hans liking. He parked the car and sighed heavily, saying goodbye to her now felt like hell to even think about. He looked over at her and smiled, Carolyn was fast asleep. She looked so peaceful in her sleep.
Hans got out the car and opened the door for Carolyn. He gently carried her bridal style, she was so light in his arms he feared she would easily be whisked away by the wind. He held her tighter against his chest as he walked up the stairs without breaking a sweat.
Opening the door was the tricky part, he somehow had to find the key in her purse and open the door without putting her down. Hans groaned stuck in thought and having no idea what to do. A quick thought came to mind and Hans grinned. He gently repositioned Carolyn to have her hanging over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
He quickly looked for the key in her bag and unlocked the door. He turned the lights on and his heart ached at the sight before him. He quickly closed the door and walked to the bedroom and gently placed Carolyn on it. He removed her shoes and and pulled up the covers. He smiled gently and couldn't resist bending down and gave her a gentle peck on the forehead.
"Night kitten, sleep tight." He whispered.
The thought of leaving her gave him a chilling feeling. With a heavy sigh he turned around to leave, this was for the best he couldn't invade on her private property.
He heard a light groan before a small gentle hand grabbed a hold of his wrist, his heart skipped a beat. He turned around to see a groggy looking Carolyn.
"Please don't leave me?" She begged, the words driving a dagger through his chest.
Hans knew it was the alcohol talking but he still couldn't help the ache in his heart. She sounded so heart breaking at the thought of him leaving her.
"I will never leave you kitten." Hans said with all honesty.
He held her small hand gently and gave her a reassuring squeeze. Carolyn hummed in content with her eyes closed.
"Yay me." She grinned.
In her sleepy state she tugged at his hand, trying to pull him into bed with her. Hans froze in place, he knew that was definitely not a good idea but her iron grip didn't loosen. With a heavy sigh he sat on the bed hoping she would fall asleep and he would leave afterwards.
"Get in dummy," Carolyn ordered as she tugged his arm with both hands.
Hans chuckled at her adorable behaviour. He was over joyed to have her holding him. With a bit of hesitation he took his shoes off and crawled into the bed. Immediately Carolyn tangled herself with him, their lest interwoven and her head against his chest.
Hans froze in place, his chest heaving up and down heavily. He couldn't control his rapid heart beat. Having Carolyn so close to him drove him wild. All logic left the window, his skin hot to the touch, his member rock hard.
"Fuck," he groaned.
He had placed his hand over her back, pulling her closer to him. He sighed in content at the warmth that clouded him. He had never felt such peace in his since the death of his mother. He felt as though he was on cloud nine, his body tingling, his heart racing. Carolyn was doing things to him he couldn't stop and he loved every second of being in her presence.
Without realising it, his eyelids began to feel heavy. Before long he fell into a deep peaceful slumber. Both souls finally becoming one.
