Irene POV
"Argh! Argh!"
I woke up to the sound of screams coming from the next door bedroom. Bella. I quickly jumped out of bed and rushed to her room to see Dad was already with her. She had a nightmare. "Bells, are you okay?"
"Yeah," she replied, "it was just a nightmare."
I sighed when I saw Dad's tired expression. So, this is what he was dealing with since Edward left. Every night Dad had to wake up to Bella's screams of Edward leaving her. I'm not going to lie and say that this wasn't serious, but it was. Not only has she affected Dad's life, but she's also starting to affect mine. And not in a good way.
"Go back to bed Ri, you have school in the morning," Dad said as he handed Bella a cup of warm milk. I nodded my head and went back to my room to sleep.
I tried; I really did try to fall back asleep, but I couldn't. Because of Edward, my sister was losing her mind and soon Dad will lose his mind and as for myself, I already lost it when I found out about the Cullen's.
*Flashback*
I stared at Jessica and Angel trying on dresses number 375. I never understood the girly style or fashion in general. "I like this one, it has a nice colour."
"They both look good," Bella said encouragingly. I stared at her in wonder of when did she become girly and cared about fashion? Cause if you ask me then neither of us care about fashion and make-up. He'll put me in trainers, khaki shorts and a top and I'll be excited. "Ri, what do you think?"
"I'm hungry," I replied honestly. "Can we go now?"
Bella and Angel laughed while Jessica glared at me. "Seriously? We've only been here for thirty minutes."
"Thirty minutes in choosing the same dress over and over again," I argued. Seriously, the only reason why I'm acquaintances with Jessica is because Bella is friends with her. I have no idea how she tolerates her because I'm close to ripping out her hair if she doesn't shut up.
"Hey, is it okay if me and Ri went to a bookstore?" Bella asked changing the topic. Bookstore? Hell yeah! "I have to buy something for school."
"Sure, we'll meet you at the restaurant," Angel said as me and Bella put on our coats and bags and said our 'byes' before leaving the store. I have no idea which bookstore Bella meant but seeing that she was walking in a different direction than the Library across from us, I think she found something else.
I quickly caught up to her and followed her up the alley to a little bookstore on a hill. "Thunderbird and Whale? Bella, what exactly are you getting in this store?"
"Something for a class, I need other resources," she answered as we entered the bookstore and greeted the salesperson. I looked at him and saw that he had the same tan skin and black hair like Jake. I wonder if he lives on the Reservation aswell. "Excuse me, I'm looking for this book."
I looked over and saw Bella handing him a piece of paper. "Yeah, we have it. I'll got get it for you." The man came back instantly, and Bella paid him ten dollars. Ten dollars for a book? I mean for two or three books yes, but for one book ten dollars. Oh, you greedy humans.
We bid the man goodbye and as we left the shop, I saw movement from downstairs. It was hard for me to see what or who was down there, but I ignored it and walked down the stairs with Bella.
We were about halfway near our exit when two male figures appeared walking our way. Okay Irene don't panic. There is nothing to panic about. Me and Bella quickly changed direction towards the parking lot when more guys appeared. Oh, shit really not good.
