Irene POV

It has been two weeks now since me with Bells have been working with Jake on fixing those motorcycles. We were currently in Bella's truck heading towards a safe area where we could test out the bikes. With Bella driving she kept her eyes on the road, with me in the middle and Jake in the passenger seat.

"If I told you," Jake began saying breaking the silence, "I couldn't fix these bikes, what would you say?"

I looked at Bella since she was the 'leader' in this group since she came up with the idea. "Are you doubting your skills, Jake?"

"No, definitely not. I mean, they're all fine," Jake replied. "It's just... Maybe if I was smarter, I would have dragged out to rebuild them."

"If you told me, you couldn't fix these bikes," Bella said while looking from Jake to the road. "I would say that that's really too bad but...we can always find something else to do. "

I saw Bella looking over to her left and what we saw together made my heart pump even faster. What the hell are they doing? "Is that Sam Uley?"

"Yeah, and his cult," Jake replied as we watched the guys on the other side push someone off the cliff making Bella pull over to the side and run out of the truck with me and Jake right behind her.

"Oh my God," Bella said shocked as we watched Sam and his 'cult'. "Did you see that?"

I was too shocked to answer her as I stared at the remaining three guys on the cliff in nothing but shorts. All three had the same short hair, tan skin, and I could see faint black markings on their shoulders - probably tattoos.

"They're not really fighting, Bella," Jake said as he leaned against Bella's truck and watched the Uley cult show off. "They're cliff diving. Scary as hell, but a total rush."

All three of us watched as one of them took off running, flung himself into the air, twisting and falling down.

"Rush?" Bella asked. I looked at her in wonder. What the hell are you thinking Bells?

"Most of us jump from lower cliff down," Jake answered. "We leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples. "

Me and Bella walked over to Jake as we continued to watch Sam and the other guy. "Is some kind of beef with them or something?"

I couldn't stop looking at Sam and his friends. They looked so damn cool. It actually made me a little jealous that they weren't scared and that they had bigger abs and muscles. Do they even wear shirts?

"Oh, no," Jake answered my question. "They just think they run the place. Embry used to call them hall monitors on steroids. Now, look at him."

I watched with Bella as Embry, now with short hair, abs, and muscles, jumped off the cliff and into the ocean. "That's Embry? I didn't recognize him. What happened to him?"

"He missed some school then, out of nowhere, he's following Sam around," Jake explained as we continued to watch. "Same thing happened with Paul and Jared. They weren't even friends, now Sam owns them."

Jake took a breath before speaking again. "Sam keeps giving me this look, like he's waiting for me or something; it's kinda freaking me out."

"Maybe you should avoid him," I suggested.

"I try to avoid him," Jake replied. I could sense his nervousness from five meters away.

"Hey. If it gets worse, we'll go to my Dad. Or you can come stay with us," Bella offered making me smile. But where in the house would he sleep?

"Thanks," Jake said as he rubbed Bella's shoulder, making things a bit awkward now. "If this is how you're going to react, I'll freak out more often."

I saw Bella realise that she crossed a line, so she shoved Jake playfully back. We headed into the truck but when we looked back to the cliff, Sam was the only one left there and he was looking at us before diving into the ocean.

Twenty minutes later we arrived at the 'perfect' location with a view of a lake and mountains, but also big boulders, and Bella was the only one currently sitting on a bike.

"You look scared," Jake commented as we watched Bella.

"I'm not," Bella replied, but of course I could see through her lies all the time. She is like an open book to me so whenever she lies, she gets all defensive and starts to get a bit sweaty.

"Brake? Clutch? Right. Gas? You ready?" I asked as I pointed to what was what and looked into Bella's eyes to see if she was truly ready.

Nod. Nod my ass, you'll forget it instantly Bells.

Jacob grinned... then kick-started the bike. Jacob slowly released the clutch. Bella did the same and the bike moved forward an inch making Jacob cautiously step back. She moved forward another inch until her hand slipped off the clutch, which made the bike buck off and fall on top of her. Jacob quickly lifted it off of her as I went to see if she was harmed.

"You, okay? Bruises, breaks -?" I asked as I checked for any signs of damage.

"I'm going again," Bella responded.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea," Jake said in disapproval. But his words only made Bella stand up and hop back onto the bike. "Guess we're going again. Now what are you going to do with the clutch?"

"Release it," Bella answered. "Slowly."

Jacob nodded then started the bike again. This time Bella released the clutch and moved forward. Moving slowly at first until something made her lose her concentration. "Oh crap. She's losing focus. We should do something."

But we didn't. We just watched as Bella kept going faster, it was as if she was trying to run away from something, or someone. I actually thought that she had it, until she lost control of the bike.

"I don't - how do I turn?!" Bella yelled; her tone full of panic.

"Hit the brakes!" Both me and Jake yelled before seeing Bella fly off the bike and hit her head on one of the rocks. "Bella!"

I quickly got onto the other bike with Jacob sitting right behind me and drove to where Bella was laying. I hit the brake when we were close enough to Bella, turned the bike off and ran to Bella was.

"Bella?" I asked as we ran towards her. She looked around dazed, like she saw something.

"What are you training for the X-games?" Jake asked as he helped me with Bella.

"I want to go again," Bella said as she tried to stand up and walk towards the motorcycle.

"Forget it. I'm revoking your motorcycle privileges," I said in an angry tone. "Damn, look at your head. You do realise that you could have a concussion now, right?"

"God, I'm sorry," Bella replied as Jacob took his shirt off, revealing his six-pack and muscles, and put it to the bleeding spot on her forehead. Okay Irene now's not the time to drool.

"You're apologizing for bleeding?" Jake asked, slightly amused.

"It doesn't... bother you?" Bella asked making me confused. Why would blood bother someone. Yeah, it can be a bit disgusting to look at but its normal.

"It's just blood, Bella," Jake replied as he bended over her, carefully tending her head. She found herself looking at him. His dark eyes, his bare chest and smooth skin. "What are you staring at?"

"Just, you're actually... good looking," Bella said shyly making me widen my eyes.

It actually surprised both me and Jake before he started smiling. "How hard did you hit your head?"

Bella was left speechless, as Jake continued to tend to her. I could feel that they were having a moment because I could feel that I was the third wheel. But at least Jake took Bella's mind off Edward, again.

I swear this girl is a magnet that attracts trouble.
