Irene POV

It has now been over two months since me and the pack have killed Victoria, and a month since the Cullen's killed the newborn army in Seattle. It was currently August, and I was on the beach with the pack playing football (soccer in America). Even though all of us were moving quickly, I could still feel eyes on me as my skin glowed because of the Sun.

"Do you think she can feel it? The Sun's warmth?" I heard Seth ask curiously.

"Of course, she can feel it! Just because she is immortal it doesn't mean that she can't feel stuff now," I heard Embry answer. I passed the ball to Leah, and she scored us a goal. Me and Paul cheered as we scored our second goal. The score was currently two to three, so my group was getting there. I called out 'time' and kissed Paul before zoomed to Jake, Seth, and Embry.

"What are you boys talking about?" I asked as I sat on the sand with Leah right behind me.

"Bella and Sparkles are still on their honeymoon," Jake grumbled under his breath. I rolled my eyes when I heard my sister being mentioned. Yes, I love her and respect her stupid decisions, but she seriously needs to stop messing with Jake's head. "He can kill her; you all know that."

"The venom can either change or kill her Jake," I explained. "Just like the venom changed me."

I saw Jake glare at me, "And look where you are now!"

I got up and went straight up to his face when I heard female voices. I looked over my shoulder and saw Lily, Nina and their boyfriends walking towards the beach, especially the pack. I quickly nodded at Leah before zoomed into the woods to hide from my friends. They really don't know about me becoming a vampire or dating a shapeshifter.

I saw my friends talk to Sam, Jared, and Paul when I saw Jake going over there.

Oh, please don't say anything stupid.

Lily POV

I smiled at the tanned men in-front of me. Even though I have seen plenty of shirtless men before, thanks to my step-mums crazy night adventures, seeing such fine men in-front of me made me blush. No Lily! You have a handsome boyfriend right next to you! Focus on Jace!

I held Jace's hand tighter when I heard a new male voice pop up. "Hey Sam!"

I looked over a saw a guy with a bodybuilder-like figure, short hair like the others, tan-russet skin, and brown-black eyes. I felt my heart quicken at his charming smile. No! Bad Lily!

"Wow! I never thought I would see new faces on this beach," the guy said as he stopped next to Paul Lahote. He held out his hand and shook everyone's, mine was last. I took his hand into mine and almost jumped at the temperature difference. Wow he's hot! Like temperature hot. I looked up and met his eyes.

He held my hand tightly as we continued to stare at each other. "Well hello love. I'm Jacob Black."

"H-hi. I'm Lily Pierce, nice to meet you," I said shaking his hand before letting go and stepping back to Jace.

I wonder if this is why he wanted to go to the beach. I looked at him and saw him staring at me with narrowed eyes. I shrugged my shoulder at him before I felt his lips next to my ear. "Keep talking to him like that and we'll have a problem."

I felt myself freeze and quickly nodded my head before I felt Jace's arm around my shoulders, squeezing them tightly. Oh God I'm in so much trouble now. We actually kept talking with them for thirty more minutes before leaving, but not before I switched numbers with Jake, which for some reason Jace didn't mind, but that tight smile on his face told me otherwise.

Hopefully, Nina and Tyler will let me drive with them back home.

Jake POV

"Yes man! Congratulations!" The pack cheered as the watched me looking at Lily's retreating back.

"Finally, he can move on," Leah sighed in relief as she and Seth stood beside me.

"Yeah, I can," I smiled with happy thoughts invading my mind.

Until I heard those words come from Irene's mouth.

"She has a boyfriend."

Everyone stopped and looked at Irene in confusion. "What? Babe, what are you talking about?"

"I'm sorry Jake but Lily has a boyfriend," Irene answered as she stood next to Paul now. "The blonde guy, Jace. They have been together for over two years now. But with you imprinting on her, I think you just messed things up for her now."

I looked at her in shock. "Are you sure? That guy looked like he was about to kill her with his own eyes."

"Jace has problems," Irene replied. "He has a rough childhood, rougher than ours, and Lily aswell. They complete each other, even though they have problems."

"Do you think she'll leave him? For me?" I looked at Irene with hopeful eyes.

"If she ends it with Jace...then it's a possibility," Irene said before looking at her watch with wide eyes. "Crap! I have to go now. I'll see you tomorrow."

We all nodded as Irene kissed Paul before zoomed off into the woods.

I felt my heart clench tightly. I didn't like this pain, this feeling. I felt my eyes water, but nothing fell. I looked up and stared at the sky, praying silently.

Please, God if you're out there, please can this one thing come true.

I know what I want now.

And it was not Bella.

Nor pain.

But Lily.
