"Mute" Mizu X F!Reader

im done with my hiatus (i think) !! I found my holy grail stash of drafts i never finished for this so 🤗

The memories of the intimate moments shared with Mizu were still fresh in your mind as you woke up, yet you found yourself alone in the cold morning air. You'd had hoped to wake up next to her, but you knew better.

The sun was barely rising and the fire had died out, leaving only the worn out wood. Grabbing the sheet and pulling it over your body to keep out the cold air before letting out a heavy sigh.

'Does she regret what we did last night..? Is that why she left'

You shook this thought out your head, trying to gather your thoughts, trying to process the mix of emotions from the previous night.

'No, shes always gone in the mornings - its fine'

Staying under the covers for a while longer you were thinking of reasonable things that Mizu was doing in the morning instead of laying there with you.

The sun was high enough for you to get ready and try to find everyone else. Town was the first place you went to since that was where Ringo and Taigen said they were.

As you packed your stuff up, Mizu approached you from behind. She reached out to touch your shoulder

"Y/n-" you jumped in shock, thinking you were going to get abducted again. "Sorry - I didn't mean to startle you" she quickly retracted her hand back to her side as you quickly turned around.

It was hard to ignore the pounding in your chest as the hot flush in your tcheeks as you looked at her standing there. Mizu was trying to calm herself down also, the thoughts from last night were repeating in her head.

"I was going to see if Ringo and Taigen were here" she scanned the surrounding area, "which I can see is not the case".

You nodded quickly, as tried to find your notebook (i don't remember if reader ever had a notebook....but she does now!!)

Mizu somehow had it and handed it over which you awkwardly accepted. You can't remember giving her it, so it baffled you to why Mizu was holding onto it - but you didnt care.

'Should we go looking for them' you quickly wrote down and reached out to show her, only to notice that she had walked behind you and was peering over your shoulder.

Your heart rate skyrocketed in a mere second as you were able to feel her body heat radiating off her. (hopefully that make sense😭 idk if it sounds weird)

"I checked the town early this morning, I couldn't find them" she told you still standing close.

'Maybe they fell asleep outside of town?'

"We could check" Mizu responded walking away from you "leave the stuff here"

You shoved the notebook in your bag before trailing alongside Mizu. It was slightly awkward for you, as you kept fighting the urge to reach out for her hand, but you didnt know how she would react. Mizu saw this from the corner of her eye, it was quite obvious but you failed to see that.

"About last night" you almost yelled as you heard Mizu say that.

'What about it' you wrote

"It was foolish of me to do. Besides you had just regained your memories that day, I dont know what I was thinking" Mizu's words were harsh as they struck you.

'It's fine, I didnt mind really' You felt horrible now 'I enjoyed it' you regretted writing that the second you read it.

Mizu only nodded, she didnt know what to do with herself after that night. She loved you right, so why couldn't she tell you. When she found you still in her grasp that morning she hugged you tighter not wanting to let go but she feared loving you would only lead to you being hurt more.

The sound of you two walking down the muddy track filled the air as you made it to the side of the town. It was busy for it being morning still, which meant it would be harder to find the two.

Ringo and Taigen are lost/missing!!! Which forces you two to spend time together to find them :-)

ahhh short chapter 😓 but I totally forgot what i was writing so if it doesn't match up with previous chapters pls have pity on me 🙏🙏 ill see if i want to re read this but for now im going in blind mostly
