Reich was staring out the car's window, his expression and voice silent as he sat in the car. He was worried about a lot of things, and he wasn't exactly sure how to talk about them, but he also didn't know if he wanted to."Don't worry, we are almost there." Austria-Hungary smiled at him, and for a moment Reich was wondering how he was driving if he was quite blind. Maybe it applied to different things, maybe he was just winging it, Reich didn't know, maybe he shouldn't.
It was a little while longer before they got there, the sky was cloudy and a bit dark, signaling that it may rain. Reich couldn't stop holding his little baby bump, even when he didn't have much there he just needed to hold himself for a moment before he could convince himself to get out of the car.
It was getting colder, quickly and almost sharply. Reich had barely noticed the change in weather, but as he wore his coat he could definitely tell that fall would soon be approaching, or maybe it was almost there.
He grumbled as AH dragged him inside of the office, holding his hand as he moved him along.
Reich was glancing away as his mother talked to the front desk person about their appointment. For every second they were there it just made the German more nervous and worried.
Not just for himself but for Soviet. He could just imagine that Russian breaking walls and chairs all because he had left.
Eventually he and Austria-Hungary went to sit down.
Reich silently sighed at the paperwork he had to fill over, going over something with AH as the country sat next to him, practically bouncing in his seat.
"Did you want to know the gender? We can have a little reveal party if you want to." The nearly blind country was smiling brightly, barely able to contain his excitement. "I can make a little cake, and you and Soviet can cut into it!"
His words were going right through the Reich.
AH kept on yapping like any happy grandparent would be. As Reich was busy reading something, his mind was too full of thoughts for him to function properly.
Eventually some nurse showed up and though Reich didn't hear their name being called AH stood up immediately and dragged him along again.
The German was holding the clipboard in his hand nervously, Austria-Hungary was talking to the nurse as they walked to a decently sized room. There were a couple bed's laid out with some strange devices near them.
Reich blinked at them nervously before AH moved him to sit down on a bed while giving the nurse the clipboard.
Eventually a doctor came in, holding some papers as she glanced between the two. Reich couldn't help resting his head into his palm. This was going to be a long day.
It took much longer than expected to get to the whole ultrasound part, and by then Reich was not very pleased.
Though AH seemed to be taking in every word the doctor had said, the only thing the German could hear was that he was too thin and that he needed to eat more. Oh and that he was lacking in this vitamin and that- oh but they aren't that important- and then suddenly they are important. And that he needed to move more and baby this and baby- and blah blah blah-
It was annoying the Reich, and sure he was already aggravated because of Soviet- his constant worrying about the Russian was not helping him focus- but the doctor's words just added to his unpleasant mood.
Eventually he got some pills prescribed to him to make sure everything would go well for him and the baby, he did not want an premature birth that was for sure, so he would be taking them.
