"Are you okay Mutter?" Reich asked as he got himself some orange juice, pouring it into a glass.

AH was standing by the toaster, waiting for his bread to come out as toast. "I just didn't sleep very well last night." He mumbled, not really wanting to say that he felt like he had been being watched.

"Oh." Reich frowned a bit, "Maybe you could take a nap later today?" Reich suggested as he put his plate down onto the table with his juice.

"Maybe." AH hummed as he waited, before the toast suddenly popped out, making him jump. He hummed almost silently, moving slowly to get the butter.

"Have you seen Soviet?" Reich asked as he took a nibble of his own toast, "He wasn't on the couch this morning when I woke up."

"I-" Austria-Hungary looked up from his plate and to the living room, "No, no I haven't." He thought quietly for a moment, making Reich shrug.

Eventually breakfast passed, and while Reich went to do his own thing- mostly playing on his phone- AH was left mostly alone.

But, he felt odd.

There was this lingering feeling haunting him from last night. It felt like something had crawled up his back and it just made him feel uncomfortable. With Soviet missing as well, he wasn't exactly sure how the day would go by.

He couldn't focus on anything really. Not on any book or puzzle, his mind was left at a stand still, as he listened to the house's creaks and rocking.

He was so distracted by his never ending thoughts, to the point where he was unable to do almost anything. Wandering around his room all day. It made him feel like he was waiting for something, like he was expecting something to just happen. Like he was constantly sitting on the edge of his seat.

The country was so thrown off of his usual schedule, there was so much standing, and sitting and thinking. He couldn't even find time for a nap as Reich had suggested.

The only thing that brought him out of his own thoughts was a sudden noise from the kitchen. The sound of pots and pans moving.

AH waddled to his door, carefully unlocking it with oddly shaky hands as he poked his head out.

His worry melted away when he could see that it was just Reich standing there, with his big baby bump too.

The German looked over to the other, waving softly. "Hallo, I hope I didn't wake you from your nap." Reich had assumed the other had been sleeping, so he had gotten lunch started for them.

"Yeah.." AH mumbled, stepping out from his room. "You haven't seen.. Soviet yet today have you?"

Reich raised an eyebrow, "Nope." He rubbed his bump, waddled over to the fridge. "All I've been thinking about is chocolate, and this chicken." He hummed, pulling out a little container of raw chicken, mumbling something about teriyaki.

"Right." Austria-Hungary blinked at him. Food before the husband, that had to make sense.

Reich nodded like he had heard the other's thoughts as he got to preparing his peppers and spices. Tapping away on his phone every once in a while before going back to cooking.

AH was stuck standing, his eyes wandering around for a moment as he slowly walked around Reich. He moved to the back door, peering through the windows...

But after a few seconds he concluded that there was no Russian back there.

He paused and looked up, seeing Reich still distracted by his own slow thoughts he eventually moved towards the living room. Looking around in his closets and cabinets and such.
