Jake's POV

Silence went past, Hanni and I looked at each other. Then, Sunghoon resurfaced, gasping for air. But, where's Ja-

*BANG BANG BANG*

We all flinched as three gunshots echoed from underwater. Panic hit me hard.

We climbed out of the pool, yelling for Jay. For a moment, it seemed like he was gone, but then he burst through the surface, panting heavily.

Sunghoon and I grabbed Jay, helping him out, but Sunghoon immediately stepped back. Confused, I looked at Jay and saw... deep scratch marks on his left arm.

Jay seemed to notice our concerns,"The claws scratched me," he said, out of breath, blood dripping from the wound as he held his arm tight.

I saw Sunghoon still keeping his distance, fear in his eyes. I knew what he was thinking—one scratch could mean infection, turning, danger. But I couldn't leave Jay behind.

"Come on, we need to get him back to the gym, I'll take care of this." I said, pulling Jay up. Despite the fear, I couldn’t abandon him. Together, we hurried back to the gym, Jay leaning on me, hoping we could stop the... find a way to save him.

We were almost at the gym door, relief starting to wash over me, when a creature suddenly blocked our path, clinging to the wall in front of us. Its eyes glowed menacingly, and a low growl emanated from its throat.

We backed away slowly, fear tightening my chest, it was so hard to breathe. The creature's growl grew louder, and in a flash, it lunged at Sunghoon. I barely had time to react before it was on him, claws trying to slash wildly.

"Get it off!" Sunghoon screamed, struggling beneath the weight of the creature.

I rushed forward, trying to pry the creature off Sunghoon, but it was too strong. Hanni aimed her gun, her hands shaking, hesitating.

"Shoot!" I yelled, desperation clear in my voice.

*BANG*

Hanni fired, the sound deafening in the confined space. The creature slumped, dead, but as it fell, I saw the blood seeping from Sunghoon's stomach. The bullet had pierced him too.

"Fuck no, no, no," I muttered, panic rising as I pressed my hands against the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. Sunghoon's face was contorted in pain, and I could feel his blood soaking through my fingers.

Jay, despite his own injury, knelt beside us, trying to help. "We need to get him inside, now!"

Together, we managed to drag Sunghoon into the gym, laying him down as gently as we could. "I-I'm so sorry..." Hanni, tears streaming down her face, rummaged through the supplies for anything that could help.

"We have to get the bullet out first, it's not that deep," I said, my voice shaking. "We... we can't lose him."

Sunghoon's breaths were shallow, and he groaned in pain. "We're here," I assured him, my own fear threatening to overwhelm me. "We're not going anywhere."

I worked quickly, my hands trembling as I pressed the cloth against Sunghoon's wound, trying to stem the flow of blood. The bullet had come out cleanly, and now it was just a matter of keeping him stable. Sunghoon's breathing was still ragged, his face pale, but he was holding on.

"Stay with me, Sunghoon," I muttered, focusing on him as I wrapped the cloth tighter. "You're going to be okay."

Then I heard Hanni's voice, shaky and filled with fear. "J-Jake...?"
