Heeseung's POV
As Sunoo's commanding voice echoed through the room, I watched in awe as he stood there, shotgun in hand, a fierce determination etched on his features. "Let him go!" he demanded, cocking the weapon with a steady hand.
But the woman seemed unfazed by his threat, tauntingly shaking the walkie-talkie in her hand. "Don't you know that your friend is immune?" she sneered. "He could be the cure—"
Sunoo didn't let her finish, cutting her off with a growl of frustration. "That's why I'm taking him, you dumb bitch," he retorted, his voice dripping with disdain.
The woman's smirk faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "Well, how about this walkie-talkie?" she teased, her tone mocking. "You think I'll trade my friend for a walkie-talkie? LET HIM GO!" Sunoo roared, his voice echoing off the walls.
Reluctantly, the woman instructed the men to release me, and I stumbled towards Sunoo's side, my limbs heavy with exhaustion. I hid behind Sunoo and together, we slowly backed away, our eyes never leaving the armed guards who lurked nearby.
But just as we thought we were in the clear, the woman's voice rang out once more. "Get them!" she ordered, and chaos erupted as gunfire filled the air.
Sunoo immediately fired his shotgun, while a boy appeared out of nowhere, joining us with a pistol in hand. With bullets flying past us, we ran as fast as our legs could carry us, desperation lending wings to our feet.
Reaching the gate, Sunoo wasted no time, *BANG* blowing away the man guarding it with a well-aimed shot. The three of us burst outside, the cool night air hitting us like a welcome relief.
But Sunoo wasn't finished yet. Turning to a nearby barrel, he took aim and fired, the explosion engulfing the gate in flames that slowly began to spread. As we watched the fire grow, I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude towards Sunoo for his determination to keep us safe.
As the flames licked at the night sky behind us, a familiar deafening roar pierced the air, sending shivers down our spines. "We have to get out of here," I urged, my voice trembling with fear as we turned to flee.
But before we could take another step, blinding lights and a honk filled the darkness, causing us to shield our eyes in confusion. A car screeched to a halt beside us, and to our relief, Jungwon appeared at the window, his expression one of urgency.
"Guys! Get in!" he shouted, his voice barely audible over the chaos unfolding around us. Without hesitation, Sunoo, the boy, and I scrambled to squeeze into the backseat, our bodies pressed tightly together as we settled onto the laps of the other passengers.
With Jay at the wheel, the car sped away from the danger, leaving the chaos of the compound behind us.
As the adrenaline faded, I finally realized the boys were with us... Wait... The boys are here! "You all... you all are here..." I muttered out, feeling a mix of disbelief and relief.
Jungwon's voice brought me back to reality. "Yes we're here. But why do you look like you've been through 10 years of hell? And why are you naked, Heeseung?" he asked, clearly confused.
Glancing down at my torn jeans and bare chest, I chuckled softly. "It's a long story... just trust me," I said, not ready to explain everything just yet.
Jay shook his head before refocusing on driving. "Well, you two have some explaining to do-" he started, but was interrupted with a glance at the boy who had come with us, "...you three."
The boy introduced himself. "I'm Soobin... I see you all in school sometimes, I'm from class D," he said shyly.
Jungwon's curiosity got the better of him. "Is that so? Well, how did you end up where these two were?" he inquired.
