KANO STATE, NIGERIA

In a dimly lit room in the bustling city of kano, Alhaji Abubakar Talba, Amina's father stood in front of a man wearing a black cloth from head to toe, a man whose face he had never seen. A man who he could pass by in the street without recognizing and yet he was planning with him, planning to bring down the Shugaba's.
"But why do you hate the Shugaba's so much?" Farouk Alkali asked, he was the one who had introduced him to the mysterious man and he didn't know how they were related but he knew Farouk wanted to get Maha back, to make her love him like she used to after 30 long years. It sounded stupid, absurd and impossible but he kept his mouth shut because he knew saying anything bad about them might result to his head separating from his body.

"It is no secret that the real reason behind the enmity between the two families is because the Shugaba's accused our son of killing their daughter." Abubakar paused and then he shrugged nonchalantly before he continued,
"Well he did and so what? But the real reason of the enmity is because years ago, one of the king of the northerners who is obviously a Shugaba had an illegimate child, and that illegitimate child was with a Talba. He was also the first child and so he is supposed to be given the throne but instead they gave it to the second child who is the legitimate child, when the Talbas' asked for a right to claim the throne the Shugaba's vehemently refused and since then the Talbas' have been on a hunt to get the throne."

The masked figure cackled evily before he said, "life is unfair." While Farouk looked at him as though he had grown two heads.
"I can't remember the last time I prayed and I'm not a good Muslim but for sure somewhere in the Quran said an illegitimate child can never be a leader so what did you expect? You expected them to happily hand the throne to the illegitimate child?" Farouk said nonchalantly and the mysterious man spoke again,
"Well that is why I said life is unfair."
"So back to business, the princess, Azra is coming to Kano with her husband the young millionaire, Amir Dabai." Farouk said.
"Amir's brother, Malik has offered his help to kidnap them so it will be as easy as taking candy from a baby."

"But my daughter Amina that we made to forcefully sign that contract, it doesn't look like she is doing her job, she is useless." Abubakar said with clenched fist.
"Don't mind her, we don't need her anymore. Just show the contract to Azran and tell him she signed it willingly, he will hate her and it will teach her never to mess with us and always do as we say." The mysterious man said and Abubakar nodded his head vigorously not even feeling an ounce of guilt that he is about to ruin his daughter's perfect marriage with the love of her life.
"But what makes you so sure that your plans will work? What if Malik backs out at the last minute?" Abubakar asked and the mysterious man sighed before he stood up with his hand tucked in the pocket of his black jeans as he towered over Abubakar's 5'4.
"Because we have our trump card even if all those plans doesn't work." He said and Abubakar's eyebrow furrowed in confusion and the man chuckled before he said,
"Come in." The man that Abubakar saw almost made him pee in his pants, isn't this man supposed to be dead? Was the question he kept asking himself but the man standing in front of him didn't look like a ghost and he was supposed to have died 30 years ago after Ayman Shugaba brought him to justice when his evil deeds were discovered. So is he a ghost or is he really alive?

As Azra and Amir sat inside the car, driving through the familiar streets of Kano, memories flooded Azra's mind. She reminisced about the countless times she had traversed these roads, her childhood adventures intertwined with the essence of the city.

Passing by the iconic Gidan Makama Museum, Azra couldn't help but smile, recalling the school trips and family outings that had shaped her love for Kano's rich cultural heritage. The museum stood as a proud guardian of the city's history, housing artifacts that had witnessed generations come and go.
