After Jakob took off, Violet decided that it was going to be her who brought him back home, despite Dom's reasonings. Violet wasn't going to sit around and watch the family she loved so dearly move on like nothing happened. H...

Violet was laying on top of Han, the sheet draped across her lower back. Han tucked some of Violet's hair behind her ear before planting a kiss on her lips. Violet cracked a small smile against his. For once, Violet was actually happy to be around someone else for a long period of time. Violet wasn't a very romantic person, she never thought about a future with somebody at her side. Violet declared herself the "fun aunt" before Letty and Mia even decided if they wanted kids. Violet just didn't feel like that was for her – yet Han was making her feel that way.
Violet wasn't holding onto hope, one day all that would disappear. They were both in a nomadic lifestyle with no intensions of settling down. They liked the travel and the racing scene. The conversation of their futures never came up, neither of them spoke about marriage or children. They were just having fun, sleeping together, not caring about what the future held.
That was what Violet liked.
Violet sat up, placing her legs on either side of Han's waist. Han raised himself up, resting his body weight onto the mattress under him. He reached up, playing with the cross necklace that Violet always wore. There was never a moment where she wasn't wearing it. "What's the story with this?" Han asked. In all the conversations they had, and lack of conversations, Violet never brought up the necklace.
Violet looked down at the necklace that her father gave her as a baby. She didn't start wearing the necklace daily until she was seven when she found it in a jewelry box she forgot about. Violet never took it off - none of her siblings did. Despite their lifestyles, they knew those statements of their religion were always true.
Violet chuckled lightly. "Despite what it seems, I was raised a Christian." Nowadays, Violet hadn't stepped foot into a church, not since her father's funeral. Her grandmother wanted a traditional funeral for Jack, and after that day, Violet stopped going to church. Even now, Violet already knew she'd be going to hell. "My dad used to take us to church every Sunday, and afterwards, he'd host a Sunday barbeque for the neighbors." Violet said.
"You're full of surprises, Vi." Violet couldn't stop herself from smiling sweetly at the nickname that Han decided on. Violet really didn't mind having a nickname, she grew up with Vivi for eighteen years of her life. But hearing Han say it, it felt different.
Violet was trying her hardest not to fall for Han Lue, but he was making it difficult.
Han's thumb ran across the crystals that were attached to the cross. "Let me guess, another thing from your dad?" Violet nodded. "Family must be very important to you." Han wasn't going to lie; he felt a little jealous at the stories that Violet would tell him about her family and how close they were. Han never got along with his family – the whole stereotype of Asian parents came into play.
