After Jakob took off, Violet decided that it was going to be her who brought him back home, despite Dom's reasonings. Violet wasn't going to sit around and watch the family she loved so dearly move on like nothing happened. H...

Violet played with her food more than actually eating it.
After all these years, Jakob decided to show his face to Violet. She searched for him for ten years. Even when Violet and Han began dating, Violet would check the countries they stopped in to see if he was around. The search for Jakob did come to an end when she moved to Japan. If he never wanted to be found, then Violet respected that. However, now that Jakob decided to show himself, Violet was conflicted.
Why did he decide to show himself now?
Violet didn't understand it. For ten years, Violet traveled around, looking for her older brother, yet he was the one who found her.
"Vi," Violet looked up from her dinner to Han.
It had been about an hour since Violet and Jakob reunited, and Han could see that Violet was struggling to accept it. Jakob had been missing since Violet was a teenager. She left home to locate her brother, but every attempt failed. Now, he decided to show his face. Violet was spiralling.
"Yeah?"
"You've made a moat with your rice." Violet looked down, seeing that she had pushed the rice around until it literally had a moat in the middle of the takeout bowl. Violet pushed the rice that was threatening to escape back into the plastic bowl. She set the chopsticks down. "You're thinking about Jakob."
"How can I not?" Violet asked. She leaned back on her hands, looking at Han. "I spent the last ten years looking for him, he's been gone for fourteen. I've traveled the world, and not once did I catch wind of Jakob. Now suddenly he's showing his face to me? That's fucking suspicious." Well, at least Han and Violet were on the same page when it came to Jakob Toretto's sudden reappearance. "Either he wants something or somebody's after us and Jakob's the one who's supposed to do it." Violet said.
"Okay, let's not think like that," Han commented, turning to face his girlfriend. "Vi, from everything you've told me about Jakob, he wouldn't kill you."
"He's here for a reason, Han, what could he be doing here? He sure as hell isn't racing. He's..." Violet could think of any and every scenario for why Jakob was in Japan. Violet doubted he was in Tokyo the entire time. No, Jakob was all over, Violet just knew it. There were obvious signs, but either Violet was too late, or Jakob hid upon finding out Violet was in that very country.
But why?
Violet had too many questions.
"You gonna tell Dom?" Han asked.
Violet instantly shook her head. "Not in a million years." Telling her family that she saw Jakob was the last thing on her mind. "Look, Dom and I might have made up, but that doesn't mean shit when it comes to Jakob. He still doesn't like that I left because I wanted to find Jake and bring him home. Telling him would just set him off – he has erased Jakob from his life, our lives, Han. He wants absolutely nothing to do with Jakob." Violet explained.
