"Hey Mom have you seen my sign?" I asked looking around in the back seat, "No your father should've put it back there." She looked back seeing no sign, "Its not here!" Daddd!" I called, "I Must've left it at home." "WHAT!?" My mom and I both called, "Kidding I'm kidding...It's in the trunk I was in a rush." "You're just like your mom Y/N." My mom flipped through a magazine, "See anything you like?" My dad grinned, "Keep your eyes on the road."
"His flight number was #203" I tapped my foot nervously. My Dad, Mom, and I were picking up my uncle David from the airport. I was nervous yet exicted because I hadn't seen him in so long. I made him a poster on white poster board paper with big bold colorful letters saying, "Willkommen Onkel David,
lange nicht mehr gesehen!" The brim of the letters had colorful glitter around them. It was perfect! "Look ill call him" My dad's phone rang. My mom looked around the airport. I looked down at my loose tied shoe lace. I gripped onto the poster board. I looked up to see a man with green eyes, bushy eyebrows, a little bit of stuble, and tuffs of hair that spiked up a little bit. He was walking his suit cases and bags through the crowded people. My heart almost jumped out of my chest. "UNCLE DAVID!" I waved quickly, he looked my way and smiled putting down his bags. I ran to him dropping my sign. He picked me up and swung me in his arms. "Liebchen!" That was his nickname for me. "Sweetheart" I liked that name it made me feel like a little kid, I didn't like to be treated or talked to like a little kid but when Uncle David came to town it felt like just at that moment it was okay to feel little.I laughed, "Wie geht es Ihnen?" "Sehr Gut!" "Good Good, I see you've been practicing German?" His accent thick, "Yes, It can be a bit hard to go back and forth languages." "I get it, I still am studying." He smiled, I picked up my sign I dropped handing it to him. "Es ist perfekt, meine Liebe"
He smiled, he pulled me into a hug and I helped him with his luggage and walked him to my mom and dad."You should stay for dinner!" My dad exclaimed, "Oh no no, I don't want to over stay my welcome." My uncle insisted, "No no really you're more than welcome to stay" My mom looked behind her to the back seat, My uncle scratched his arm, "Well if you insist" he smiled. This was gonna be great!
"Hey Y/N why don't you invite your friends over?" My dad called out from the kitchen chopping onions, "Georg and Gustav?" "Yeah! And maybe those twins you were telling me about" "Sure, I could ask them!" "5:30 Tonight!" My dad called out, I ran to my room and sent a message inviting them all.
Georg: great! Be there soon
Gustav: Can't wait to dig in
Bill: Sounds fun! Thanks for inviting us
Tom: Yum Yum
I walked to my closet and changed my clothes for dinner tonight something a little dressy but still casual. My Dad and mom were making sauerbraten my Uncles favorite! I helped set the table with my mom and my uncle helped my dad in the kitchen. My uncle made salad and my mom created her famous strawberry crumble cake. It was gonna be so good!
"Y/N could you grab the door?" "On It!" I ran downstairs to open the door, "Hello!" They all said in unison. "Glad you guys could make it!" I ushered them all in. "Our mom made some pumpkin pie!" Bill handed me the foil wrapped container. "Aww tell her I said thanks!" We all walked to the kitchen I sat down the pie. "Hello!" My dad and uncle smiled as they began setting down the dishes of food. "It smells so good!" Gustav smiled, "I'm glad, we have lots to go around." My mom smiled. "Have a seat all of you." My mom sat down. Everyone began to pull out their seats. "You must be Georg and Gustav." My mom pointed at the two. "Yes!" They nodded. "Y/N has said great things about you two." They smiled and looked at me. "And you two are the twins right?" My dad pointed at Bill and Tom. "That's us!" My uncle washed his hands before joining us. "Oh this is my uncle David! The one I told you guys about!"
"The music producer, right?" Tom questioned, I nodded. My uncle sat down placing a napkin in his lap smiling at us all. "So shall we dig in?""So Y/N tells me you guys are in a band or possibly starting one?" My dad placed his napkin in his lap. I looked at him. Did he have to say it out loud? Out loud it sounded embarrassing like I really really was taking this serious. Don't get me wrong I was it would be a amazing opportunity but it was just a school assignment, probably a only one time thing, performing. My uncle looked interested. "Yes, we have a English project, and we chose to perform a song. Y/N made it, the idea and lyrics and we we've been working on the lyrics and sound." Bill explained. "Wow, im very impressed." My Uncle smiled reaching over the table and shaking my shoulder smiling. "That's amazing Y/N." My mom served everyone's food.
"Y/N is really talented." Georg added. I blushed. I was getting showered in compliments."Uncle David? I was wondering if...Maybe you could help us with our song like go over our lyrics and beat and tell us what we could add to make it...better!" "Sounds like a plan, I do have to work throughout this week but I can definitely squeeze in some time on the weekend." We all looked at each other and smiled. It was official Uncle David would help us and who knows hopefully help us become future stars? Stars? Nah probably not. But a A+ for sure. I wonder what it would be like though if we were stars. I imagined people screaming our names, the band name, "Tokio Hotel" rolling off their tongues. Flashing camera lights, and signing autographs, and getting interviewed. It would be a big break from it all. For all of us. The name though.....
Tokio Hotel?....
Tokio Hotel.
