Felix's pov:
It's been many weeks since our talk under the stage. Hyunjin and I had been in contact mostly through phone calls, so nobody would find out about us being friends. Neither one of us wanted any drama, so we decided to keep our friendship as a secret.
Taehyung has been a complete asshole. He pushes or hits me every time he sees me walking at the hallway and he never misses a chance to humiliate me in front of the other students. Once he tripped me up in the cafeteria and many people laughed at me.
I'm grateful that my friends were there to help me through all of that kind of things. Yeosang, Yuqi and I.N had always the best words to comfort me and Han and Mingi competed about who would make the weirdest insulting name for Taehyung ("a frog-eating, grandmas-over-tipping, flat-iron-headed ostrich with the brain of a hand blender" must be the best one yet.) and they always made me laugh and feel better.
I had also talked about these things with Hyunjin. Being a friend of an asshole like Taehyung fortunately didn't make him into a monster like him. His words always comforted me and just something in his whole presence made me feel better.
Before I got to know Hyunjin, I had thought that he was just a popular and rude asshole, that only had friends because he was good-looking. Now I had learned, that he was much more than just "the popular boy". Under his hard shell he was very sweet and kind.
Unlike many of his other friends Hyunjin was very introverted and enjoyed spending time alone. He would often sit alone in his room and listen to music. He was very calm and nice guy.
Hyunjin also liked art. He told me, that he used to be in an art club, when he was in middle school. He hadn't showed me any of his artworks yet, but I was looking forward to it. Maybe he could draw me in the future...
'Or maybe not. He might only be interested in drawing pretty female models..."
Today was a special day for me. It was Tuesday, September 15th, my birthday. When I stepped into the class of home-economics, I heard someone yelling:
"FINALLY! THE BIRTHDAY BOY HAS ENTERED THE CLASS ROOM!!"
I looked around and saw that the one who yelled was Chaeryeong. She was sitting at a table with Minho and San. They all smiled and waved at me.
"Chaeryeong, stop... that's embarrassing..." I muttered but then chuckled as I walked to their table and sat next to Minho.
"What? So now we can't even wish you happy birthday?" Minho asked me as he hugged me quickly with one hand.
"No, it's embarrassing when you have to make such a show about it. You can say it more quiet." I said.
She furrowed incredulously but then she just rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Okay, I'll be more quiet. But ONLY because today is your birthday. You can take that as a gift." she said.
I smiled to her. Suddenly I felt how my phone stirred when a notification came. I checked it and saw that it was a message from Hyunjin.
I looked at my friends next to me. They were busy talking with each other and didn't notice how I replied to his message.
