Light Me Up Again

Tonight, it has been one hell of a night, Anna disrespect Luci. Luci has a breakdown. I propose to anna, which she said yes then find myself looking at the love of my life's lifeless body cold and pale on the floor of her bathroom.

I can see Arlo is in a panic, and he feels helpless because that's how I feel right now, helpless. As he gave everyone jobs, I sat with him in the bathroom as the heat surrounded us, trying to resuscitate her. He is starting to shake as his efforts show no sign of life.

As he continues his work, I talk to Luci in hopes that she could somehow hear me. "Come on, Luci, you survived once you can do it again." he starts to break down in front of me, and I try everything to not break down with him.

"it's going to be ok, man. She's a strong girl. we have the best medical team in this house, and I'm sure she will make it." I say as I place my hand on his shoulder. I know he probably has no hope being a doctor, he see's stuff like this all the time, but he needs someone to reassure him that it's not like that.

Deep down, I am in a panic as well, seeing her lifeless body. memories of her naked in my arms as I kissed her and made love to her, to then breaking her heart play in my head. Not only was Arlo a shit boyfriend, but so was I. She does deserve better.

I pace up and down the bathroom, waiting for Christian and Robert to bring the medical equipment up to her room. Did I just hear what I thought I heard? "You were going to propose?" I say out loud. Arlo had intentions on proposing to Luci tonight, but he can't. She's mine, and no one can have her. Out of rage, I kick the bathroom door open to see the bed has been set up. Good timing.

I take a seat on the balcony anxiously watching the doctors as they work their magic. Arlo walks from the bathroom, drops to his knees, and starts to run his hands through his hair. As hard as it maybe I do have a fiancé and Luci has a perfect opportunity at a happy life. As I walk over to Arlo, the monitor starts beeping, I can see a heartbeat and take in a deep breath.

I place my hand on his shoulder, "she's going to make it, Arlo, and you will have the perfect life planned for her." I watch as his face lights up and rushes over to her, I wish it was me rushing over to her kissing her and telling her how much I love her and describe what the rest of our life would look like. Instead, I sit back and watch her be taken to the hospital.

Everyone is in shock and cuddled up to each other around the fire. "Anna, please help me clean up. It's going to be a rough night. " Anna jumped up and helped me clean the house till it was sparkling just as Luci liked it. "Mum, I will be back tomorrow morning," and we wave everyone goodnight.

I lay in bed next to anna, as she hugs me and falls asleep. I envy her right now as I know tonight is going to be a long and sleepless night.
