You want to tell me my poems are bland
They lack emotions, their dry like sand
They lack expression and make no change
They carry out no message
And the words I use are simplicit

But I'm done, I'm done with it all
Why be different, why stand out at all
Im finally done, so I'll join the crowd

Would it better if I said
Your utterance resonates within my soul,
Your words have caused a grievous wound, the bleeding of which shows no sign of cessation

You would prefer if I wrote essays that go in and on
Sentences so profound that it would make Isaac Newton himself sound like a knock off

My words may be simple
But make no mistake, for my poems are five star dishes
With creativity served on every plate
My words make an impact once they are said
Different thoughts and questions will appear in your head

Oh wait I have a better one
My heart, once stirred by love's sacred call,
Now falls silent as my cherished one departs, leaving behind a desolate pall

But what if I changed it
Because it's not my voice, I don't feel want to feel as if showing my true emotions is a choice
As I read I want to burst in tears
I want to feel a feeling that is rare

What if I said?
My heart will beat no longer, for the love of my life is no more
The one who was my breath and path
The one who was my future, beginning and my past
The one who made me feel at home
The one who left and now I'm all alone

I read this and I feel like disaster
Because I'm reminded of the love I once lost

But any let's get to the point
Your thoughts
Your expression
And your words
Burn like fire and it gets worse

No storm or no hurricane
Can ease the flames
So remember these words that I have written to day
Words to you might not be a lot
But when you say it to someone it means a lot
