"I forgot how fun making matching outfits were!" Ms.Tina squealed as she continued to sew rhinestones along my dress.

"Alright Mama calm down. This is a one time thing.." Beyoncé said from her makeup chair as Kelly subtly agreed.

"Beyoncé, tell me to calm down again and watch what happens.." She replied and I tucked my lips in to stop myself from laughing.

I looked over at Beyoncé as she cut her eyes at me and mouthed, 'Shut up'. I laughed out loud until her mom asked me to turn so she could make sure the back was adjusted perfectly.

Tonight was the Grammys, my first ever award show I was attending. I was excited but also nervous. I wasn't expecting to win any of the categories and honestly just being nominated was an award within itself.

We made our way to the red carpet which was a very chaotic experience to say the least. People were screaming everywhere you turned and it was even worse standing next to Beyoncé.

Fans, reporters, and photographers were yelling questions, directions and weird rumors that have been fabricated. I wasn't sure how Kelly and Beyonce weren't overstimulated but I guess they were used to it.

"Do I have to do one of those interviews?" I whispered to Beyoncé as we walked towards the next spot on the red carpet.

"Only if you want to. I don't suggest it because they'll probably ask you about me or the rumors about us.." She whispered back before settling into different poses for the camera.

I nodded as the cameras flashed back to back trying to keep up with the constant pictures. Beyoncé was a natural I'm not even sure if she blinked. Me on the other hand I was still trying to recover my vision from twenty pictures ago.

We were finally done on the red carpet without doing any interviews and went inside the venue. Seeing the an award show in person was way different on tv. I passed by so many artist I admired in the way too our seat but as I sat down I felt I was finally able to breathe.

"The hard part is over now you just have to wait until you win.." Beyoncé said to me as we took our seats.

I nodded as Kelly started to talk to me. It helped to take my mind off of things. I started to fidget as the show started and Kelly began to hold a conversation less and less.

I flexed my fingers, rubbing my sweaty palms along the arm of the chair before I felt a soft hand tangle into mind. I looked down before looking up at Beyoncé to see her smile at me.

I wanted to question it but I count bring myself to do it. We were in a public space, anyone could see yet neither of us cared. It wasn't like the rumors went away so all we were doing was giving them more to speculate.

Besides her touch eased my anxieties. I was able to breathe and actually enjoy the current performances.

As the night ended and we made our way through the after party I felt nothing but free. I walked away from the Grammys with my first Grammy form my first project as an artist. Months ago I wouldn't have recognized or believe the things I've accomplished.
