"when you left I felt like dying"
~ anonymousA few weeks later, I walked downstairs in the kitchen, it was early in the morning not even 8am as I saw the newest news paper on the kitchen counter. I grabbed the news paper and looked through it, just the usual things. I sighs and looked outside.
It was September, the end of the summer and the beginning of autumn.
I hated autumn so much, after autumn came winter and I detested the winter. The winter was cold and I was freezing no matter how many clothes i wore. The winter reminded me of the death. The death is a beautiful word with a deep meaning everyone understands it different but everyone knows how it is meant. I stared at the garden where the flowers slowly started to wither as my phoned got a message.
I looked on the display and noticed a number that I couldn't recognize.Anonymous: hey you said we could hang out sometime?
I stared at the message for a few seconds before I realized who it was.
Lilith: Yes of course we could hang out.
Silas typed an answer.
Silas: today 1pm in the café?
Lilith: sounds good
I answered before looking at the time. It was already 9am what meant I still had some time to get ready.
I arrived at the café at almost 1pm and looked around the café. I was nervous and fiddled with my sweater, it was a cold september day and the leaves slowly began to change their color.
I smiled as I saw Silas sitting near the reading corner. I walked over to him and sit down in front of him as he smiled and looked up from his computer.
"Have you been sitting here long?" I asked and looked at his computer, he chuckled. "It's also great to see you Lilith." He smiled before he continue "I was bored and I still had time so I came earlier."
I nod and looked around as a waiter came to us. I ordered the usual thing, a caramel coffee with extra caramel. I looked at Silas again as my eyes went to his rings, he wore new ones. One had a symbol that looked like a crown, another had a beautiful moon symbol with a blue diamond in it. The corners of his mouth went up a little, too a little smile when he saw that I was staring at his rings.
He chuckled "do you like them" he said as he pulled a ring from his finger and handed it to me.
"I...i" I didn't knew what to say I was so caut off with his move that I slightly blushed and grabbed the ring. It had a little flower symbol on it and it was absolutely beautiful. I kept looking at the ring and completely forgot to answer his question. "You can have it" he said and watched me looking at the ring. I smile softly and looked up "thank you, that's a really beautiful ring." He nod and smiled "tell me something about you" he said interesting as he closed his computer. I stayed in silence for a moment thinking about what I could say. "Well, I am 16 and I like to write storys." I said and looked at the table thinking about what else I could say. "You write storys?" He looked at me "what kind of storys?" He looked at me interested. "Nothing important, just a few storys I wrote when I was younger." I scratched the back of my head and looked at him, I never told anyone about my storys except Luca. No one ever saw or read them, not even Luca. They are secrets I keep for myself. Storys I keep for myself.
"I'm sure they're more than nothing" Silas smiled softly, his smile did something to me. Something I couldn't describe "your smile is beautiful" was the only thing that came out of me right now. He chuckled and answered "same goes for you" he smiled and looked at me. We both made eye contact as my phone ringed. I looked on it and saw that my father called me. I sighed and looked at Silas "I'm sorry, but I have to go now." I felt a little bad to go home so soon but If I wouldn't go now I would get in trouble. I grabbed my things together and got up, I smiled at him as he smiled back. "It was great to hang out with you" he said and also got up. I smiled more and didn't moved for a moment before I hugged him. I noticed that he didn't hugged me back, he just looked down at me and my smile got wider as I saw his ears turning red. "See you soon Silas" I smiled and walked out of the café.
Later that day I had an argument with my dad, it was nothing knew. He always got a way to yell at me for some stupid things, I shouldn't be sad but I am. I shouldn't cry because of him, but I do. In the past, Luca always cheered me up and helped me to redirect myself from my father. He held me tight and comforted me while we cuddled the whole night. Luca always hated him, Luca hated to see me cry, but here I am sitting in my room and bawling my eyes out.
My father was never a good person.
