"Why are you the way you are?"
"Because I lost someone."

On October 17th nothing happened, it was a cold day and I was outside in the garden to read as my phone got a notification. I grabbed my phone and looked at it. It wasn't Silas or my dad. It was Cami.

Cami: hey wanna hang out? x

I stared at the message for a few minuts, I wasn't sure what to answer. Me and her never really were so close only because Luca and her were in the same friend group.

Lilith: yea, sure. We can meet in the mall.

I sent the message as seconds later a happy smiley got sent back. I sighed and looked at the time as I put my book away. I grabbed my keys and phone and started to walk to the mall. I looked at my phone and thought if it really was such a great idea to hang out with her. After everything that happened the past month...

"Hey!" Cami said and walked over to me as we spotted each other. I smiled softly as she hugged me. "How are you?" She asked me. Her pink mini skirt with her straightened hair matched perfectly. "I'm okay I just wonder why you texted me." I smiled as scratched the back of my head a little. "Oh, I just wanted to, you know. Look how you doing after the little thing in the cafeteria." She smiled embarrassed and looked at me. My curly brown hair fell into my face as I put a straight behind my ear. "Oh yea,I'm sorry that i yelled at you. It was just too much on that day." I smiled softly and looked at her.
"That's Okay Lilith, I totally understand how you most feel after these past months. I also texted you because I thought that we maybe could hang out and forget about the last months for a few hours and just have one." She smiled a little and looked into my eyes. I nod a bit and sighed quietly "yea sure."
She smiled brighter and hugged me as I chuckle.
Together we walked in almost every shop in the mall, looking for some new outfits and some other things. We were right now in a second hand shop, Cami looked for some sweatshirts and bags. I walked around in the story as I noticed a box with a lot of jewelry. I looked at the jewelry and noticed a ring with a flower. I looked at my ring on my finger and smiled, it was almost the same but the flowers had another colour. Mine was blue, the ring in the box was purple. I grabbed the ring as Cami walked over to me. "Aw what a cute ring." She smiled and looked at it on her arms were many clothes and her hair was a little messy from trying on so many clothes. I smiled as I looked at the salesperson "how much for this ring?" I looked at cami as she walked to the changing room. The man behind the counter looked over at me and then at the ring as he smiled softly. "It's for free ma'am." For free? I looked down at the ring such a beautiful symbol with this colour can't be for free. I walked to the counter and looked at the man "how is it possible that a ring like that is for free?" The man chuckled and looked at the ring "well no one bought it so now it's for free and since you look so interested at it I'll give to you for me." He said while looking at the ring. I smiled and him and looked back at the ring, I already knew what to do with him. "Thank you so much sir." I smiled as Cami came out of the changing room and paid for some clothes while I kept staring at the ring.
After Cami paid we both walked out of the shop. I looked at the man once last time before putting the ring on my finger for now. Cami noticed the ring and smiled "it suits you so good, glad you found something." She smiled as we explored more and more shops.

Hours passed as me and cami walked out of the mall with some bags. She bought cute new clothes while I bought some more new rings and bracelets to make yourself. We talked and laughed about the weirdest thing and it was really funny with her. "It was such a funny day, thank you." I smiled and hugged her soft. She smiled back and answered "we should hang out more it was such an amazing time." She smiled softly. And we hugged each other one last time. "Well then text me next time when you're free." She said and smiled as she waved at me. "We see each other at school." I smiled and waved back as we both went our separate ways to go home.
I smiled the whole time while going home, I never really hung out with Cami, I only knew her because she and Luca were in a friendgroup and they sometimes hung up together. And everything they did he somehow got me to go with him although I sometimes just didn't want to go. I smile softly as the memories filled my mind as I looked at the two rings with the flowers.
one purple and one blue.
