luke had left seattle now. after the siblings went to dinner the other night and the man packed his bags, he left for the airport and got the 10:30am flight back to london. mark had checked up on the girls arm and declared her injury free and he'd also been spending more time with her outside of work.

the girl was now in the hospital after getting a morning coffee with mark. the pair had been meeting up a lot more recently. the man often got the pair of them coffee, his usual bone dry cappuccino and olivia's caramel latte (which he always said was too sweet).

the pair were now stood next to each other in the elevator and olivia was rambling to the man about how annoying colin marlow was and how much he was creeping her out.

the english man had once again practically cornered the girl and was trying to make conversation with her.

"i just don't understand why he keeps talking to me." olivia groaned, "i've made it so clear that i don't want to."

mark chuckled and shook his head at the girl in amusement, she never failed to make him laugh. the elevator door opened and people entered so olivia moved to stand in front of mark to make more room.

the chief was one of the people to enter and he sent the pair a small smile before facing forwards. mark leant down and brought his face next to the girls before resting his head on her left shoulder.

his cologne filled her nose and she breathed it in and shut her eyes. mark, who realised what she was doing, smiled and kept his head on her shoulder. he too was breathing her in, however he was more subtle than she was.

the doors opened again and a dark haired woman entered and stood next to the chief. "nice sweater." she commented. olivia raised an eyebrow and turned to look at mark who'd done the exact same thing.

"well... my wife." the man stuttered.

"what?" the woman frowned.

"my wife. she gave it to me. the sweater." the man clarified before pausing for a moment and thinking, "actually, it's my ex-wife. it's amicable."

"i'm sorry?" the woman probed. olivia winced and mark buried his face in her neck as he tried to hide his chuckles.

"the divorce. it's amicable. very friendly. i'm a friendly guy." the man continued to speak. the elevator dinged and the door opened, the woman rushed out as quickly as she could.

a man also exited which left the chief, attending and intern in the elevator together. mark stood up straight again before speaking.

"i'm a friendly guy?" he reiterated.

"sloan." the man scolded.
