overly pessimistic girl
have you been too exposed to the real world?
since the first day you took a breath of air
you knew deep down no one would be there
you fought for yourself
in that ways you could
but now everyone tells you
that you're no good
so tell me, overly pessimistic girl
who's seen you cry?
who's seen you try?
who's been there to say
that, maybe, everything is going to be okay
that you can let your guard down for just one day?
who's ever been there to show you
that you don't only ever have to hurt?
