Chapter 8

Levi woke up to a message from Enzo. He assumed that last night Enzo found his number on his phone and took it. Why? He was no fucking clue. This is very much against some rules but for once Levi doesn't care. The message read "Sorry about last night. I should've woken you up"

Levi didn't know how to respond. He didn't want to be woken up. That was the best sleep he had. Even if Atel woke him up screaming about him and Enzo fucking. That made him go red. But what if they did? What then? What would happen to them? Just as Levi started spiraling, another notification rang out from his phone. He jumped up thinking it was Enzo but it was an email from the hero committee.

It read:

Dear Levi,

We hope this letter finds you in good health. We are writing to notify you that tomorrow marks the end of your suspension. You are expected to report to the rest of the hero board for a talk about your previous behavior. We hope you have had enough time to reflect on your actions.

Reading that got Levi annoyed. He totally forgot he was a hero. He didn't wanna go back. He'd rather stay at home 24/7 but he couldn't. He decided to take a walk to be alone with his thoughts.

He walked towards the alleyway him and Enzo first went that first meeting. His mind ran through everything that happened thaf led up to this moment in his life. He thought about his parents, he thought about his school friends,but just of all he thought of that first meeting. The day he first met Enzo.

He was 14, training outside with his god awful father. He had no choice but to train with him but when be saw that boy sprinting down the street with the look of terror he was wearing he couldn't help but run after him. His father was screaming after him but for once he didn't care. He stopped the boy,

"Are you okay?" He asked with concern. He'd seen the boy numerous times outside but when he tried to talk to him the boy would give one word answers and walk off.

The boy looked at Levi with a look of fear and anger "No" he whispered "But I really have to go. Thank you for being the only person that noticed me" Before Levi could respond he ran off. Levi thought he'd never see the boy again, but he was so wrong. They had cuddled like, 2 days ago. (Best day of his life) He was so warm. He wished they could do it again, but sadly he suspected Enzo wouldn't want to. They shouldn't even hang out. Levi was in his head again but then he felt the ping of his phone. Levi remembered that bed left Enzo on read.

"Oh shit, I forgot. Dammit" He rushed to pull his phone out and saw another text from Enzo that read:

"I get it if you're mad, just wanted to apologize."

No no no. He wasn't mad at all. He was just nervous. Levi texted back:
"No no it's fine. I didn't mind"

Levi decided to put his phone down and get some sleep. It was like 1 am and he has work that day. The word alone made him wanna barf.
