Name: Raelynn Gillies-Grande
Age: 13
Parents: Elizabeth Gillies + Ariana GrandeAfter a half hour of standing in the mall waiting for her friends for the hang out they had planned, Raelynn gave up waiting. Stepping away from the crowds, she calls her mom and Liz picks up the call instantly.
"Hey Rae. Are you having a good time?" Liz asks enthusiastically, wondering what her daughter needed.
"Mom, the girls stood me up." Raelynn told her shortly, not giving much away.
"What?" She asks quickly, trying not to let her motherly instincts and emotions cloud her thoughts.
"They all stood me up." Raelynn repeats quietly.
"Let me sort something out real quick and then I'll come pick you up, baby." Mom says.
"Aren't you working? You don't have to come get me. I know momma is working too." Raelynn says, not expecting her mom to drop everything for her.
"I'll be with you in fifteen minutes, okay." Liz says, already walking to the producers office to tell them she's taking the rest of the day off.
"Okay, thank you." Raelynn says, slowly taking a shaky breath.
"Bye." Liz says and hangs up.
Raelynn walks back out to the parking lot and stands near the area where Liz had dropped her off almost an hour ago now. For a few minutes she stood watching all the cars go by and then decided to check her phone.
When she opens her Instagram, she could see that one of her friends had posted a story update with all of the girls she was supposed to be hanging out with. Regretting even opening her phone, Raelynn quickly closes the app and puts her phone away in her back pocket.
In just a few minutes, Liz pulls up and Raelynn gets in the car. She tosses her bag into the backseat and leans backwards into her own seat.
"Are you okay?" Liz asks, sensing the anxiety radiating from her teenage daughter.
"I'm fine." Raelynn lies with a nod, but Liz doesn't believe it.
"Are you sure? What those girls did was really unnecessary and mean and it's okay to feel upset or mad, Raelynn." Liz says softly.
"It doesn't matter now." Raelynn sighs, wanting to just forget the whole incident.
"Well if you change your mind, you know I'm here. Do you want to go for food somewhere?" Liz asks, knowing that some food out would certainly cheer Raelynn up.
"Don't you need to go back to set?" She asks her mom, knowing both her parents had busy schedules that day.
"No, not for the rest of the day. Do you fancy an Impossible Burger?" Liz asks, feeling hungry herself as lunchtime approached.
