Name: Alana Gillies
Age: 3
Parents: Elizabeth Gillies + UnknownLiz hated early mornings. But for early flights before a vacation, it was definitely acceptable. The alarm went off at 4 AM sharp and in five minutes, Liz was up and dressed. She headed over to Alana's bedroom where the girl was still fast asleep.
"Sweetheart, wake up. We're going on vacation." Liz said softly, rubbing her arm until she stirred awake.
"It's early." Alana whined, looking up at Liz with tired eyes.
"You can sleep on the plane. Let's get ready." Liz picked her up and kissed her hair, carrying her into the adjoined bathroom.
"But I'm sleepy." Alana complained, leaning her head forward and collapsing into Liz's chest.
"All I need you to do is keep your eyes open, honey." Liz told her, starting to brush the little girl's teeth.
"Okay." Alana murmured around her toothbrush, blinking rapidly to keep her eyes wide open.
When Liz finished with brushing her teeth, she grabbed a face wipe and gently ran it over Alana's face and then hands. She carried her to the closet and sat her in the large fluffy beanbag before grabbing the two piece shorts outfit she had laid out yesterday.
"You got dino's today. Yay!" Liz smiled, holding up the dinosaur printed socks and underwear.
"Yay." Alana repeated with a yawn.
"Aw, baby. When we start our vacation you'll forget all about how tired you are." Liz kissed her hair which she had french braided the night before and then dressed her.
"Where we going, mommy?" Alana asked when Liz stood her on her feet.
"We're going to L.A, remember? To stay with Ari and our friends." Liz reminded her, walking out and downstairs with Alana.
"To stay with Ari... To stay with Ari!" Alana suddenly perked up when she processed her mom's words.
"That's right! And we're going to the airport right now!" Liz smiled.
"Yay!" Alana cheered, jumping around.
"Now do you think you can put your sneakers on all by yourself, Alana?" Liz asked, setting the baby Nike's on the floor.
"Okay!" Alana plopped down on the rug in the living room and started on getting her shoes on.
That gave Liz enough time to do the last checks around the house, get their carry on bags to the door and pick up the snacks from the kitchen.
"Mommy, done!" Alana shouted proudly, stretching her legs in front of her and looking at the sneakers that were all velcroed on.
"Clever girl! Let's get in the car." Liz took Alana's hand and walked her outside, sitting her in her car seat with her backpack next to her.
