For a Saturday, it was unusually quiet in the house. Michael was tidying up the kitchen, Liz was ordering a grocery shop online and Heidi was sitting in the music studio playing piano.

"Babe, do we need pasta?" Liz asked from the kitchen table.

"There's spaghetti but we need pasta shells." Michael told her, quickly checking the cupboards.

"Okay. What about rice?" Liz asked, tapping on the keyboard of her laptop.

"Don't need it." Michael shook his head, setting a mug of chamomile tea in front of her.

"Thank you." She leaned her head upwards and they kissed for a few seconds.

"What's Heidi up to?" Michael asked, unloading the dishwasher.

"She's in the studio. I think she just wanted some time to herself this afternoon." Liz mentioned.

"She still struggling at school?" Michael frowned slightly, knowing Liz had been keeping him updated on how Heidi was keeping up in her classes.

"She's been saying she feels ill for the past few days but I'm not sure how much truth there is to that." Liz sighed and Michael chuckled.

"Hopefully a movie night will cheer her up." Michael smiled.

Both carried on with their tasks, appreciating the peace with the slow Jazz playlist playing through the speakers. Heidi walked into the kitchen from the music studio and stood in front of her mom.

"You okay, sweetheart?" Liz asked, looking up at her.

"I don't feel good again." Heidi complained.

"What doesn't feel good?" Liz asked, trying to work out exactly what her symptoms were.

"My head and my belly." Heidi groaned, rubbing her head with her hand.

Liz stood up and ran her hands up and down her daughter's arms a few times.

"You do feel pretty warm, Heidi... Have some water and take a shower to clear your head." Liz suggested.

"Okay." Heidi sighed, taking the chilled water bottle from her dad.

"I'll get a snack ready for you." Michael smiled softly.

"Thanks." Heidi nodded before walking upstairs.

A half hour later, Liz was upstairs putting away clean laundry when she heard Heidi yell for her.

"Mom!" Heidi yelled a second time.

"It's alright, I'm coming." Liz yelled back, walking down the hallway to Heidi's bedroom. "Heidi? Where are you?"

"I'm in the bathroom." Heidi replied. "I need you."
