Considering that Liz and Michael had spent the last four years managing to parent their daughter around their work schedules, it was no surprise when the four year old started to protest at the thought of her mom going away on a short business trip.

"I want to go too!"

"Honey, you can't go with me." Liz shook her head.

"Why not? I love Paris!" Bella told her mother.

"What do you like about Paris?" Liz challenged her, knowing the girl had never once visited France.

"I like cross-onts." Bella mumbled.

"Baby, you can have croissants in America. You can't come with me because I'm going on a work trip. It's not for fun." Liz tried to explain.

"I love work!" Bella pouted.

"I know that you love my work but it's going to be stressful." Liz said, attempting to get the girl into her onesie.

"It won't be stwess-fool if I'm there, mommy." Bella shook her head, doing her best to convince her mother.

"I beg to disagree, my angel." Liz chuckled, sliding the onesie over the wriggling girl's arms.

"I want to come with you, mommy! It's not fair!"

It was only a matter of time before the inevitable tantrum kicked off. Liz had been home alone all day with Bella and they were starting to bother each other.

"Enough. I don't think that shouting at mommy will get you what you want, will it?" Liz asked calmly.

"No..." Bella trailed off, looking down.

"Exactly. So let's get into our pyjamas, have a cuddle and calm down." Liz kissed her hair and zipped up the onesie.

She settled Bella down into bed and an hour later, Michael came home. He joined Liz in the shower without announcing himself and she jumped in shock.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Michael murmured against her shoulder.

"Sure you didn't." Liz rolled her eyes but kissed him passionately.

"How was your day?" Michael asked, wrapping his arms around her.

"Bella overheard me talking to Rafael on the phone about going to Paris." Liz sighed.

"Oh dear." He laughed.

"She really wants to go, Michael. I think I should take her with me." Liz told him.

"It's up to you, babe. I can't go with you because I'm working so it'll be just you with her all weekend." Michael reminded her.

"I can do it. She loves it on set and the cast are so good at helping out with her." Liz mentioned and he nodded.
