Cyn sat on her bed, her fingers tracing the lines of the drawing her big brother N had left for her before he disappeared into the night. The sketch depicted a whimsical scene—a fantastical landscape filled with towering trees and cascading waterfalls, a world of imagination and wonder that seemed to leap off the page.
As she studied the drawing, Cyn couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness wash over her. It had been weeks since N had vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a cryptic note and a sense of emptiness that seemed to linger in the air.
Just then, the door to her room creaked open, and Tessa entered, her expression weary and worn. Cyn looked up, her eyes searching Tessa's face for any sign of hope or reassurance.
"Hey, kiddo," Tessa said softly, crossing the room to sit beside Cyn on the bed. "How are you holding up?"
Cyn shrugged, her gaze returning to the drawing in her hands. "I miss N," she said quietly, her voice tinged with sadness. "When is he coming back?"
Tessa's heart clenched at the question, a pang of guilt gnawing at her insides. She wished she had answers to give Cyn, some shred of reassurance to offer her in her time of need. But the truth was, she had no idea where N had gone or why he had left, and the uncertainty weighed heavily on her.
"I don't know, little dingo," Tessa replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I promise we'll find him. We won't stop looking until we do."
Cyn nodded, though her expression remained somber. "Why did N run away?" she asked suddenly, her eyes searching Tessa's face for answers.
Tessa's heart skipped a beat at the question, her mind racing as she struggled to find the right words to say. She knew that Cyn deserved the truth, but the thought of revealing the painful details of N's disappearance filled her with a sense of dread.
"I...I don't know, Cyn," Tessa said finally, her voice trembling slightly. "But whatever the reason, I'm sure N had his reasons. And I'm sure he'll come back to us when he's ready."
But even as she spoke the words, Tessa couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at her insides. She knew that there was more to N's disappearance than met the eye, that there were secrets and lies lurking beneath the surface waiting to be uncovered.
And as she looked into Cyn's eyes, filled with a mixture of longing and confusion, Tessa couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility weighing heavily on her shoulders. She had promised to protect her little sister, to keep her safe from harm, and yet here she was, unable to provide her with the answers she so desperately sought.
But for now, all Tessa could do was hold Cyn close and pray that someday, somehow, they would find the truth and bring N back home where he belonged.

Doll paced back and forth in her dorm room, her phone pressed to her ear as she waited for V to pick up. She knew that this conversation wouldn't be easy, but it was necessary. N's disappearance had weighed heavily on her old rival's mind, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to do something to help him.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the line clicked and a familiar voice answered on the other end. "Hey, Doll, what's up?" Lizzy said, her tone warm and welcoming.
Doll took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "Hey, Lizzy, is V there? I need to talk to her," she replied, her voice steady despite the nerves that churned in her stomach.
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then Doll heard V's voice come on the line. "Hey, Doll, what's going on?" V asked, her tone tinged with curiosity.
