Encounter After Confession

Selen and Jayden reached the office but with a gap of five minutes. Selen directly went to her department while Jayden remained at the reception as he was busy talking to someone on the call and also waiting for his assistant Richard.

"My car is parked down the lane, tell someone to bring it. There is a file in the car you gave me, make sure no one finds it."
He said to Richard while going towards the elevator and Richard followed him.

"You parked your car down the lane? Then how did you come here?"
Richard questioned him being confused.

"I walked."
Jayden replied and Richard became curious, so he stood in front of him to know more.

"Why? Cant' I walk to my company?"
He questioned him just to avoid further enquiries from him.

"I've been working for you for more than 5 years now, and I never remember that you ever came to your company by walk."
Richard replied to him clearly nullifying his statement and not giving him any space to make any further excuses.

"Ok! I went outside of Selen's home to pick her up because I wanted to show her that file."
Jayden gave up in front of Richard and started telling him and Richard made an eyebrow arch to know what happened next.

"I also wanted to know the reason why...mmm why she was....ignoring me."
He continued but this was a little hesitant to complete his words which was completely unexpected for Richard.

"And? How did you end up coming here by walking?"
Richard was becoming more curious and he didn't even budge from Jayden's sight, asking him to continue.

"She told me that she felt hurt because she heard some conversation I had with her friend where she asked if I felt anything for Selen and well, I said I feel nothing. She told me this and went out of my car and came here by walk....I just followed her."
He completed his words making Richard's mind completely blown away.

"You wanted to know why she was ignoring you. And you asked me to collect your London visit data for her! And you said that you don't feel anything for her."
Richard asked him still in his blown away state of mind but got silent when Jayden gave him a 'dare to say something nonsense' look.

"Your driver is coming with your car and your documents will be safe in the car. He will hand over your car keys right away."
Richard changed his personality to the professional one and started briefing Jayden on his schedule.

"I will ask Mia's manager about these pointers to take into account."
Richard continued his work until they reached Jayden's office.

It was their daily routine, Richard briefing Jayden's schedule to him all the way to his cabin and stop briefing until Jayden undone his coat and sat on his chair.

"Lastly, as per your promise you have dinner with your friends means Robert, Stefan and I. Is there anything else you want, or should I take my leave?"
Richard stopped and closed the file and turned to leave the cabin when he got no response from Jayden.

"Stefan proposed to Selen. He proposed her during their vacations."
Jayden spoke in a tense voice making Richard stop on his tracks.

He looked back at Jayden and found an unexpected tension, undeniable pain on his face. He knew what he felt for Selen even before Jayden himself and he hoped to turn this into reality so that he could also feel love and happiness but he never knew that Stefan also felt the same for her and he took the first step to confess his love to her. Richard was noticing each and every expression and reading every body language of Jayden since they met today and he knew something strange was there but now his tension increased as he found out that his other friend also likes the same girl now.
