Trekking Day 3 (ii)

"Alright! So, we have two teams now under two leaders. The leader of the team red is Mr. Stefan Ford and the leader of the blue team is Mr. Jayden Smith. Every team member has to stick with their leaders and for your help our best instructors will be present on every checkpoint. Best of luck everyone and let's meet here again after 2 hours. So, let the game begin."
The new instructor told everyone the game of the day.

Billy-the instructor got fired by the company after whatever happened yesterday. Stefan and his department were appointed with the new instructor and approved by Stefan and Jayden both. The game was to climb up the mountains and collect the flags. The instructing team first taught them climbing and provided them guidelines and then prepared them for the game. Because of the last night incident, the timing of the game got reduced and the number of the helpers throughout the game increased.

The blue team was led by Jayden and joined by Richard, Jessica, Andreas and the other eight workers of the wardrobe department. The red team was led by Stefan and joined by Selen, Sophie, Janet, and the other eight workers of the wardrobe department.

"Come on Stefan! We have to defeat Mr. Smith. I- I- me-mean, we have to defeat the blue team."
Selen said enthusiastically but forgot about the challenge which was agreed between two people and no one else had any clue about it.

"We will win, for sure. I have the best people in my team."
Stefan replied looking at her fondly which went unnoticed by her.

"Jessica and Andreas ditched us. They chose that team. Why?"
Sophie spoke looking at both of them and feeling upset and ditched at the same time.

"Rich is in that team because of Jayden and that's why Jessica is with her fiancé. And for Andreas, he is always inspired by Jayden, he is his role model."
One of the team members of Stefan filled Sophie with important information and she nodded in understanding.

"By the way, this man- Jayden! He is something. His confidence and attitude are admirable and his achievements are really remarkable and inspiring."
Janet whispered to Sophie sitting beside her and tying up her show laces, getting ready to climb up the mountain.

"What are you saying? Have you checked his attitude? He seems arrogant and he avoids everyone around him. I like Stefan a lot. He is kind, fun loving, caring and handsome and  you have not noticed how he takes care of Selen. While Jayden didn't even ask her about health."
Sophie spoke who was now doing stretching with Janet before climbing.

"But I think Selen likes him."
Janet blurted out her thoughts and looked at Jayden.

"What! Who? Jayden? What nonsense! Selen and Jayden! I think she likes Stefan and he likes her too, isn't it obvious? How are you sure?"
Sophie said who was shocked and looked at Janet with a frown on her face.

"It's obvious that Stefan likes our friend but you didn't notice what Hailey and I did."
Janet cleared out her words looking at Sophie to make her more confused.

"What are you girls talking about? Let's go."
Selen interrupted them from behind and they both shrugged their shoulders to indicate refusal.

"We'll talk later. Let's go. They're waiting."
Sophie said to Janet and she nodded in understanding and they went to join their team for the game to begin.

The game begun, the leaders climbed up first and helped others to climb and they started collecting the flags. They were tied up with thick ropes and harnesses for the safety and security and the helpers were guiding them with their routes and what posture they needed, where to pull up their body or how to rest and how to collect flags. The first team reaching back on the ground with the flags was to be announced as the winning team.
