Jayden was checking on Selen from time to time with a wish to know the reason for her silence, Hailey and Janet were checking on her too with concern while Sophie was checking on Jayden but in agony inside of her. The journey was long but the silence in the car made it longer. The three friends sitting at the back were talking to each other but they were like invisible to Jayden and the only person who was visible for him was silence.
They started their journey an hour or two before the sunset but the new winters made the skies dark in no time and the weather was getting colder by the time.

"When will we reach home? I'm hella hungry!"
Hailey said to her friends who were sitting with her.

"You just ate two packets of chips and the whole can of juice. And you are still hungry."
Janet winced at her sitting at her side.

"I'm hungry. I haven't eaten anything since morning. Can you see this broken leg of mine? Because of this I couldn't go out with you when you were partying."
Hailey defended her with an appropriate excuse but this time her voice was clearly audible to two people sitting at the front.

"Mr. Boss may have something in his car to eat. Come on we're hungry."
Sophie said loud so that everyone could hear her and importantly Jayden who looked at her from the front view mirror.

"I like my things tidy. I do not keep any stuff in my car unnecessarily."
Jayden replied to her back with his all usual way which was always to make someone angry but not to give anyone a chance to speak further.

"Home is still far. Maybe we can find any motel or inn nearby. Mr. Smith can stop there for a while so we can have something to satisfy our hunger."
Selen spoke for the first time in this whole journey made Jayden turned at her with the mention of his name and found her looking straight through the mirror and not at him.

"We can find it in 10 for sure. And, we're speeding up."
He just said that and sped up his vehicle without any warning.

He looked at Selen when she spoke a few words after a long silence and she asked for some stuff to eat for her friends and Jayden was willing to give her that. He sped up his car with the determination to stop it to the told destiny which was a petrol pump and a little store.

"He should be specific with telling us the number. He should say it was 10km. Oh God! My hair!"
Janet said to her friends while getting out of the car and checking out her messy hair.

"You're worrying about your hair? Look at Hailey, she's about to throw up. Poor girl, first, she couldn't enjoy her trip because of her twisted ankle, then this ride, because of her hunger and now she won't be able to enjoy her food because of her upset stomach."
Sophie talked to her two friends who were still watching Hailey throwing up and running to the restroom area of the petrol pump.

I'm going to check up on her. You two and get us something to eat and for him? I think we should ask if he wants to have something or not."
Janet said to both of her friends, then looked at Jayden who was filling the petrol tank of his car and then she ran after Hailey.

"I'm not asking him but I'm definitely going to have a lot."
Sophie said and Selen followed.

Selen looked at Jayden from inside the store and thought to have something for him too. She went to the drink section and got some instant coffee for him with some light snacks. She did not buy anything for herself because she was not feeling like eating anything and that's why she exited the store after billing leaving Sophie inside on her own. Sophie left to buy many stuff for everyone including Selen and Jayden.

"You can have a little rest and enjoy your drink."
Selen extended her hand to Jayden to give him his coffee and said in a barely audible voice.
