Selen asked Jayden a question when Jayden was busy driving suddenly breaking the silence in the car.
"We are. You seem close to him too." Jayden said more like ignoring her and bluffing in jealousy
"Stefan is a good person you know. He is fun loving and always cherishes everyone around him. We became really good friends in these two months." Selen answered him with her usual care free zone not knowing that her words erupted a wave of jealousy in Jayden.
"I can see that." Jayden just blabbered to himself.
"You said something?" Selen asked him a question because she couldn't hear him to which Jayden just shook his head in denial.
"Anyway you tell me. For how long you two know each other. As far as I can observe, you two call each other with nicknames. And the way you took care of him today. Tell me." Selen asked again completely forgetting that with whom she is sitting right now is the CEO of her company, her boss and the person she hated the most.
"15 years. We've been friends for 15 years." Jayden was also giving the answers to her every question. He was also confused to think that how can someone talk to him with such ease when everybody who barely knew him, was afraid of him and always maintained their distance from him where she was sitting with him in his car.
"Woahhh! You're childhood friends. No wonder why you cooked for him and why you can never say no to him." Selen spoke in shock and clapped in happiness to know how good friends they were.
"Stefan called you a little warrior today, why?" This time Jayden asked her a question and held his grip on the steering wheel with tightness.
"He calls me warrior because he thinks I can fight with every situation and win, just like the last time when you threaten me to fire on the second day of my joini-." She told him and again forgot what she was saying and to whom she was saying.
"I can fire you now too little lady." Jayden said and looked at her giving her the full attention, stopping his car.
"You can't do this to me Sir, I did nothing wrong." Selen said but this time with nervousness and that's what Jayden always liked in her.
"I can. I don't need any reason to fire anyone. I'm the CEO, remember?" Jayden said directly looking into her eyes and moved his head closer to her. And a smirk plastered on his lips.
"At least you've to give a reason, you can't fire anyone without any reason. This is against your company's contract." Selen said backing away from him but couldn't because of the closed doors of the car. She looked back in his eyes before saying something.
"We should reach the office soon. Richard and Jessica would be waiting for us." Selen again said to him while maintaining the eye contact but being nervous.
"Look around little lady, we're already at the parking lot of my company." Jayden informed her of maintaining the eye contact and continuously smirking and Selen looked outside of the car and found out that they were actually in the parking lot.
Selen realized that she didn't pay any attention all this time as she was busy in talking carefree. She was continuously talking to Jayden without checking the route and this increased her heartbeat. She realized that she trusted him all this time without having any second thought that he could do any harm to her.
Jayden unlocked the doors of the car and got off and Selen also quietly got off too. Jayden locked back the doors of the car and moved ahead inside the company.
"Why do you call me little lady?" Selen asked him a question from behind him and he stopped on his track.
"I call you blind too, need a reason for that too?" Jayden turned around and gave her the answer but this time didn't take any step forward.
"Why can you never talk like a sane person." Selen took steps towards him and said when she came closer to him.
"I never talked to anyone like this I talked to you." Jayden said in his low voice and turned around to move away from her. He took the elevator and waited for Selen to come.
Selen couldn't processes what she just heard from Jayden so she got frozen on her spot. Then she noticed Jayden waiting for him in the elevator so she quietly joined him and he pressed the button. The doors of the elevator got closed but this time they both were silent, they didn't speak a word to each other. The elevator stopped at the wardrobe department and Selen exited it without looking back at him but he was staring at her back but the doors of the elevator closed again. Once the doors got closed, Selen turned to it and saw it going upwards and she entered the department ignoring everyone there.
'What happened to me. What happens to me every time he's around. What is this? If this is what I feel it is then it's not right. I can't feel things for anyone anymore. I can't fall for anyone anymore. Oh God! Please help me. Please save me from this.'
Selen talked to herself sitting in her cubicle and holding her head with hands.
"What happened Selen? Is everything alright? How's Stefan?" Jessica asked her the question as soon she approached her in her cubicle. Selen sat straight, gained her consciousness, took a deep breath and told Jessica about Stefan's health.

Meanwhile, Jayden reached his office in a totally pissed mood, he threw his coat on the couch and punched his office table with all his might. He then sat on his chair and closed his eyes while taking deep breaths.
"What happened Sir, are you alright? Need something? Richard asked him who came after listening to the loud thud sound from his office.
"Nothing Rich, you can go and do your work." Jayden said with his eyes closed and without paying attention to Rich. Rich sensed something off but didn't interfere more and closed the door.
'I really need something. I need something to cool down what is burning inside me. This is not enmity or envious but whatever it is, I never felt before. Why do I always become weak in front of her? Why do I always feel comfortable around her? Why do I smile when I see her smiling? Why does her smile always lighten up my mood? And why can't I tolerate when she ignores me or gives someone more attention than me? Is this what people call love? Is this what mom was talking about?'
"Damn it! This can't be. How can I love someone. How can I be this weak in front of someone and too in front of a mere girl. You're nothing to me Selen." Jayden said to himself after a long thought but he failed to convince himself.
