CHAPTER FIVE 🌱

So, I was thinking maybe I should end it in about fifteen or sixteen chapters, I mean u don't want it to be extremely long and then become boring.

"Elena woke up a few minutes ago and the doctor is attending to her now but she's going berserk saying she needs to see her brother"  Becky rubbed her forehead in frustration.

"And this one, turned out to be Ethan" Bryan also sighed frustrated.

"But…. How's that even possible, he was dead, completely dead with no sign of life when he last disappeared " Becky said.

"Do you think there's a possibility he got something strange out of the ritual?" Bryan suddenly thought and Becky's eyes widened.

"There could be a possibility but for now, let the doctor continue treating him, if he's ok, then we can simply tell Elena that he was involved in the chaos that happened today " Becky said reasonably but Bryan was rather doubtful but he didn't disagree with this plan either.

The two siblings left the ward and allowed the doctor to continue his things while they tried to escape the chaos happening out of the ward.

The whole place stinks of blood and is filled with screaming and groaning. Many were being pushed out because they couldn't make it and others were being wheeled in in less than a minute.

Whatever that calamity was that caused this, it really went all out in creating a huge mess of bodies and blood.

While Bryan sneaked off to visit Elena, Becky stood there watching the humans go about their things.

She was worried and scared, scared for what would come after this disaster. It's pretty easy to guess for her that whoever did this was not a human being.

She was scared this is going to be the end of the signed agreement between the humans and the spirit world.

Spirit world is a large world on its own, the spiritual being as they were named can't be compared to the human being in population but they make up for this through their powers and strength and many other advantageous attributes they have.

She was worried the spirit world would soon be left in the open and chaos would reign, far worse than the one currently happening or that had already happened.

There are humans who specialized in teaching younger generations how to be predators rather than being preys.

By this, she meant there are actually humans who have either hidden away or are still living among the humans who can actually put up a fight against spiritual beings.

They are called hunters as they hunt the spiritual beings like their lives depend on it.

A few centuries back before the treaty was signed, they wreaked havoc all around, fighting and killing spiritual beings and even capturing them for experiment.

They are brutal and the only species among the spiritual beings that could probably match their level of cruelty would be the creatures of darkness who also have their different species even though their general name is creature of darkness.

"This is looking so bad, I don't want to leave everything behind here just to go back to my world and then start fighting wars again, it's so stupid! Who was even that fool that started all of this ? I actually can't believe it was us spirits that broke the agreement first" Becky roughed up her hair in frustration.

A doctor suddenly rushed out of one of the wards and came towards her, she was so engrossed in her frustration she didn't realize it was their private doctor.

He quickly pulled her back into the ward and Becky was ready to snap at him until he pointed at Ethan.

She quickly looked towards him to know what's going on and her jaw dropped in shock.

There he was on the bed, darkness was covering his whole body but that's not even the strangest part, all the wounds, whether the former ones or the new ones he had mysteriously gotten when he was brought in, were all gone and he was perfectly fine on the bed.

He was even shaking and frowning which also shows he's alive and well and probably just having a nightmare.

Becky was beyond amazed and shocked at this. She didn't even know what to say about this.

Ethan stirred worriedly on the bed a few more times before he suddenly jolted awake and gasped.

Becky was quick to rush towards him without any thoughts. She was thrown hard against the wall before she could even express her worries or touch him.

The doctor flinched but he wasn't a human himself to be that shocked. He quickly rushed to help Becky up.

"Yes, it seems he really did get something from the ritual" the doctor nodded.

"Enzo, don't be like that, you seem so ok with that, many people would start knowing about us if this goes on" Becky said annoyed.

"What are we supposed to do, you see it yourself, whatever power he has gotten us too strong and dangerously unstable right now, we just need to make sure he doesn't leave this ward, we can stay away from him while making sure of that" Enzo replied.

Becky could only watch from a distance after this but Ethan didn't make any other sudden movement.

Ethan on the other hand looks like he was in a trance and won't be getting out of it anytime soon.

His expression though blank Keep shifting between pain and anger but he didn't do anything worth from that.

Whatever once lay down struggling in the darkness had already broken free from the chain and was sitting on the floor in a meditating position.

His eyes were closed and a deep frown was plastered on his face as he seemed to be having some internal crisis.

The beings around him in the darkness whisper among themselves about how his other soul wasn't ready for this.

They were quiet not to disturb whoever the man was but not quiet enough to not hear them.

They murmured among themselves about how he needed to pull the soul back and stop it from becoming a different entity on its own .

The man's eyes suddenly snapped open and he glared at them, his purple eyes with now a glint of redness within them blaze in the darkness and they all went quiet at once,not even daring to raise their heads.

He stood up and shook his back as if dusting off something and then large red wings sprouted out of his back like a tree growing out of the soil.

The bones being snapped and then being fixed as the wings sprout were heard loudly in the cold silence.

He was really back for real this time. They knew that and were happy but also scared of what would follow the reawakening of this being.
