The news about the death of the fairies were quickly spread and many were beyond pissed off about this.

Their deaths were no accident of spatial issues, they were killed and probably sent through a chaotic space which caused their bodies to shred into pieces before they made it through.

The head of the fairies personally came over with a few fairies to take away their dead pieces .

While all these were happening, the humans were already preparing for war and the hunter association had made a notice for the people living close to the barrier to move away.

The mages from the association had already started working on finding the weak area on the barrier to get an easier access to breaking the barrier.

The barrier had formed naturally to hide the two beings from each other during ancient times but even something formed out of nature would have its weakness after existing for so long.

Ethan stared at the men of his so called court and glared angrily at them.

They had performed the ritual to merge back his soul and made him go through so much pain, he really wanted to kill them all.

"What do you guys have to say for yourselves?" He asked with a smile but not a smiley face (🙂).

The demons were frightened and could only glanced at each other like a bunch of cowards.

They had gone through with the ritual without actually thinking about what their king would actually want.

Not only had they forcefully woken up the part of the soul in deep slumber here in the spirit world, they had also forcefully merged it with the other soul stranded in the human world.

They could only hope their king would take pity on them and won't kill them off in a fit of anger.

"Please calm down your Majesty, I was the one who wants them to go ahead with the ritual, the last ritual performed with your other soul's blood was filled with resentment, if it has survived without merging with you in time, the resentment would be a total disaster" someone finally seem brave enough to talk.

"And you think it's ok to go ahead with such a painful ritual?" He chuckled coldly and glared furiously at the man.

"An arch demon who thinks he can do anything he wants, you are but a mere warrior in front of me" he smiled so brightly everyone was frightened.

What could come out of the darkest soul smiling at them so brightly? They didn't have to think too much as an explosion suddenly caught their attention.

The demon who had dared to talk was now lying down in the pool of his own blood but he's headless now .

"Feels refreshing" Ethan laughed like the devil he was and with a snap of his finger another member of the court found himself falling down , also headless.

No one said a word and they watched in fear and horror, a century of their king going into a deep slumber had really made them forget how cruel and ruthless he was.

"Prepare for war,the light beings won't want to, but it's inevitable now, they would look for a way to blame us like they always do, if any angel points a finger at you, I give you the permission to act and finally, get me the seven sins, they have a new mission" he said and a black smoke replaced him on the throne, he was gone before the smoke cleared.

     {Human realm}

The mages were seen in a deserted area all focused on an invisible barrier in front of them.

Mages were the few chosen ones among the humans who could use magic, they are very limited in number and would absolutely not come out unless necessary.

Just like now, they were needed to break the barrier and then they would probably go behind the scenes once again or wait behind to use their magic again.

Mages were also categorized, there are the mages that only work with defensive magics and those that work with offensive magic.

The defensive ones are often in charge of shielding and are not considered strong as they would be absolutely useless in a fight except defending of course.

The offensive ones are the powerful mages that would be directly found on the Frontline during a fight and they are absolute monsters.

They have bigger magic cores to store energy and are dangerous as they fight senselessly most of the time.

You see, mages are not supposed to exist, they are just humans who were gifted enough to pass some inhuman experiment.

When the hunter association caught spiritual beings, they would spend months and years experimenting on them, trying to find their source of energy.

And then they would find humans to experiment their researches on, only a few would survive and they would become the chosen one who can use magic.

Magic is just against human nature so when the defensive uses their magic, they automatically become submissive and would listen to any suggestions or orders given to them.

Offensive magic users on the other hand would absolutely lose their rationality so they were often pushed into the Frontline to hold off the enemy .

"I found something!" A voice rang out getting the attention of the others and they all hurried towards him.

The mage who screamed was a defensive mage, they are quite good with defense so they are really needed here to find a weakness in the barrier since that's basically what they deal with.

"Andrew, how sure are you that this is the weak point?" An offensive mage named Allison asked.

"The energy here is weaker and there are leakages of spiritual energy coming from the other side" Andrew replied confidently.

Allison smiled and pecked his forehead "thanks Andrew" he smiled and then turned around only to find everyone staring at them weirdly .

He simply ignored that "the defensive mages should move to the back, offensive mages should get ready to attack this weak area with me, we would need their defense to get out of here after it crumbles, the fighters will take over while we rest" Allison said and took on his position.

The others  quickly did the same as well and Andrew went to the back with other defensive mages.

Andrew was so weird out of the looks he was receiving from his fellow defensive mages that he really wanted to disappear.

"Tsk! So annoying, you are like a bug, always unwanted and annoying , he won't stop clinging to Allison like a fucking maggot" someone sneered.

"I know right! Like, he would do anything to get his attention, he could have told us and then we would announce the weak area but he screamed out just to get the spotlight again" another one replied.

"He's really annoying, I really hope he gets killed, brother Allison deserve better than this faggot even if he's into men" said a girl.

Andrew could only stand away from the rest of them while feeling like total shit. He really wants to cry but then that would get Allison's attention and he would get attacked for being distracting and wanting his attention again.

He could only deal with their Venomous glares by himself while trying to stay strong .
