I am in the hospital again. But this time it's for a different reason. The reason being the birth of my child.
My water broke in the middle of my nap. This baby is already messing up my sleep. I don't need another hell raiser. Mayank is driving us to the hospital. Akruthi is crying in the backseat. "Beta, I am fine" I shriek through another contraction. That makes her cry even harder. "Arrey arrey meri bachi. See daddy is going to make everything alright. This is normal. See I am smiling" and scrunch up my face. Mayank is hyper focused on getting us to the hospital.

I touch his shoulder "deep breaths daddy" I say.

And we reach the hospital. I am taken to the delivery on a wheel chair. Mayank' s parents are here. So he leaves akruthi with them and comes into the delivery room with me.

He sees the birth of his son. They clean me up, while they also clean the baby, and wrap him in a cloth and bring him to us.

We both look happy and proud at ourselves, on how far we have come.

We are a family now. I am grateful my kids have Mayank for a father.
