It was Saturday. Normally this was the day when the Newyorkers would go their separate ways. For example, Peter would usually spend the day with his aunt, and Danny would train in Florida with Monica. Today, however, it seems that the universe had a very different plan for the teens.
Bright and early, The Newyorkers were woken to the blaring noise of the emergency alarm. Almost all at the same time, the team rushed out of their rooms, down the stairs and into the secret elevator under said stairs that led to their underground base of operations.
When they arrived, the house's A.I., A.V.A, was in her golden holographic form projected by the circular holo table.
"Ava, What's going on?" Peter asked still a little disoriented from being abruptly woken
"An incoming Delta Airlines commercial aircraft from Nashville has succumbed to an engine failure and is gradually losing altitude," Ava revealed, projecting the flight details.
"What's wrong with the plane?" Shuri asked, assessing a 3D scan of the aircraft.
"A miscalculation in routine maintenance. The fuel line to the left turbine gave way during the journey and is now leaking fuel," The A. I responded
"Alright, Ava send us the rest of the details on the way, we gotta suit up," Peter said and the six teens entered the armoury.
Wanda, Danny, Kate and Alex opened their respective capsules containing their suits and removed them from the mannequins. Peter decided against taking his regular suit and instead picked a large belt off of the table. With their equipment in hand, the five teens entered into their changing areas. Shuri, on the other hand, took her bracelets and necklace from her designated accessory slot in the wall and put them on. With just a thought, nanites started leaking from her necklace, covering her entire body and forming her panther armour. She raised her arms and with another thought, deployed her new shields from the bracelets just to make sure they were working.
At that moment, the other five Newyorkers exited their changing areas, with Peter wearing his iron spider armour. Danny and Alex grabbed their spare respirator half masks from their accessory slots and tossed them to Kate and Wanda respectively.
"What's this for?" Wanda asked, holding the object in one hand
"Wanna find out how hard it is to breathe 30,00ft in the air?" Alex responded sarcastically, and Wanda clipped the mask to her face.
The six heroes stepped onto their vehicle runway as Ava opened the garage door at the end of the tunnel that led into the city. Kate asked Wanda for a lift, which she agreed to and the Newyorkers rocketed down the tunnel using their respective modes of transportation. Minutes later, they were all assembled near a pier and spotted the aircraft towards them. Slowly approaching the city.
"You know I think we might be in over our heads here, how are we supposed to get up there," Kate questioned.
"Three of us can fly," Shuri responded.
"There's six of us," Kate rebutted.
"Then we'll double up," Wanda replied.
"And what happens when we get to the plane?" Alex asked
"Alex, Wanda and Shuri get under the plane and try to keep it in the air for as long as possible. Danny, Kate and I will get inside and see how we can help the crew," Peter instructed.
"And how are you gonna get in the plane?" Wanda inquired.
"I think I've got a plan for that," Danny responded thinking back to a different training session he had with Monica.
