The next day, the Newyorkers had woken up early. All except for one.
"Morning," Danny exclaimed, rushing down the stairs still a little disoriented from a rough night.
"You and Peter are on breakfast duty," Wanda reminded and Danny walked into the open kitchen, joining Peter.
"What are we making?" Dany asked.
"Pancakes, I already made the batter, can you fry them?" Peter replied
"Yeah sure," Danny said and got to work, frying the pancakes and simultaneously making his batter with extra protein powder.
As Danny fried his pancake batter, he realised something.
"I forgot to pack my suit," Danny thought out loud.
"Monica said we don't need em," Wanda responded
"Yeah, she wouldn't even let me bring my armour, I had to negotiate to at least keep my bracelets," Shuri added and Danny and Peter continued to make the team's breakfast.
Roughly ten minutes after the Newyorkers had eaten, Monica had arrived and the team boarded an 8-seat armoured sword car. Once Monica had entered the driver's seat and the rest of the team filled the other seats, they started their journey towards Bayville, New York.
"Hey Dee, I gotta ask you something," Alex whispered to Danny who had just opened a bag of chips. They were sitting in the third row in the back of the car. Alex was on the right, Danny sat in the middle and Peter was sleeping on the left.
"Yeah shoot," Danny replied, putting a few chips in his mouth.
"You had a dream last night didn't you," Alex said matter of factly, and Danny froze.
"How'd you know that," Danny replied, putting down his chips.
"Cause I had one too," Alex retorted.
"That's kinda freaky, right? I mean we don't dream, we never have," Alex added, lowering his voice.
"What did you see," Danny asked, matching Alex's volume.
"I think I was in an aquarium. I was looking into one of the tanks and I think I saw a manatee," Alex spoke, trying to remember the dream properly.
"What about you," He added
"I was in a zoo and there was some kind of wild cat in one of the enclosures. I think it was a tiger but it was black with white stripes," Danny replied.
"What do you think they mean?" Alex asked
"Not sure, Wanda's the dream interpreter though," Danny suggested
"Yeah, let's ask her about it later," Alex agreed, as Monica sped up slightly and the car jerked forward, waking Peter from his nap.
Roughly an hour later, the car was now driving into a forest track until they hit a roadblock.
Instead of turning back, however, Monica turned right, entering the forest. They drove for quite a while until they left the trees and drove onto a different forest road. A couple of minutes later, the team began to notice a large campus on their right.
"What is it with Shield and hiding mansions in forests," Danny commented.
A few moments later, the car pulled in front of a gate, which promptly opened and they drove onto a large circular driveway. Outside in front of the Institute's giant front door, was a fairly old bald man in a wheelchair and a slightly younger man behind him. The two men approached the car as the occupants exited it.
