Will:-

My anxiety flared up. I wasn't ready to reveal my true identity just yet. "Haha, yeah, the mask. Maybe one day I'll tell you my name. It's kind of fun being 'Mask Boy' for now," I typed, hoping to deflect his curiosity.

Mike seemed to take it in stride. "Fair enough, Mask Boy. I guess I can live with the mystery a bit longer. Just know I'm really curious about you."

"Thanks for understanding," I replied, feeling a mix of relief and guilt. "I appreciate it."

Then he said what I hate him to say. "I hope you do. I'd like to hang out with you more, Mask Boy. But for now, I should probably get some sleep. My sister is an early riser, and she'll have me up at the crack of dawn."

I don't want him to go but he has a point, his sister!

"Alright, get some rest. Goodnight, Mike," I typed, feeling a mixture of relief and longing as our conversation wound down.

"Goodnight, Mask Boy. Talk to you tomorrow," he replied.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring. I groggily reached for my phone, half-expecting to see another message from Mike, but there was nothing. A small part of me felt disappointed, but I quickly shook it off. He was probably busy with his sister or getting ready for school.

I arrived at school, As I walked through the courtyard, my phone buzzed with a new message.

"Hey, Mask Boy. My mom's finally coming home today, so I won't have to babysit my sister as much. Thank God!" Mike's message read.

A smile spread across my face as I found a quiet spot near a large tree and settled down, eager to respond. "That's great news! Must be a relief," I typed back, feeling a sense of camaraderie.

"Totally. My sister's awesome, but it's exhausting," Mike replied quickly.

I glanced at the time, realizing I had a few minutes before my first class started. "I can imagine. Do you have any plans now that you'll have more free time?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"Not sure yet. Maybe catch up on some sleep, hang out with friends. What about you? Any plans for today?" Mike inquired.

"Just the usual school stuff," I replied. "Hey, I've got to head to class, but I'll talk to you later?"

"Sure thing. Talk to you later, Mask Boy," Mike replied, and I felt a flutter of excitement at the prospect of our next conversation.

After my first class, I found a message from Mike waiting for me. Instead of heading to meet Max in the cafeteria, I decided to sit by the tree again, eager to continue our chat.

"Hey, Mask Boy. Are you free to talk?" Mike's message read.

"Yeah, I'm free. Where are you?" I replied, feeling a thrill of anticipation.

"I'm outside, sitting on a bench. You?" he answered.

"By the big tree near the main entrance," I typed back, looking around to see if I could spot him. My heart skipped a beat as I saw him sitting on a bench, our backs facing each other. I couldn't help but smile, knowing we were so close yet still maintaining the mystery.
