Will:-

"Love isn't enough," my dad shot back. "I should take Will with me. I'll make him a man, show him what real strength is. He won't survive if he stays here, coddled and sheltered."

My heart pounded as their words cut deep, making me feel smaller and more vulnerable.

I don't want to live with him.

"Over my dead body," my mom said. "If you can't be here for him like a father, he doesn't need you here at all."

Their argument escalated, voices rising until my dad finally stormed out, slamming the door behind him. The silence that followed was deafening.

I felt a mix of relief and sadness. My mom, opened my door carefully. I quickly closed my eyes, pretending to sleep. She leaned over, kissed my forehead gently, and whispered, "I'm here for you, honey."

She went out leaving me to think alone in the dark:

What a day!

Next morning was the hardest.

Dragging myself out of bed, where I got ready in silence. Every movement felt heavy, burdened by the weight of uncertainty and fear. Would today bring more humiliation, more pain?

I was wearing differently today, I wanted to cover myself in anything I have I didn't want to be exposed, wearing my plain white T shirt with a black jacket and black jean, then finishing with putting my cap on!

In the kitchen, Mom greeted me with pancakes and a concerned smile. "Morning, sweetheart," she said gently, placing a plate in front of me. "How are you feeling today?"

"I'm okay, Mom," I replied quietly, picking at my food.

Few moments later Max arrived at door, I said goodbye to mom and got out.

Today was different; she had brought her brother's car, she greeted me with a soft smile.

"Hey, Will," she said gently.
