Austin, we have a problem

The scan went great and its now a couple of weeks later Ev is back to work as a firefighter. Its their next shift.
Mateo: Guys, I think we have a problem. Its not working and now its making this krrrshhhh sound.
Marjan: Ooh, dude, tell me you did not just break Cap's espresso maker. He had that custom made in Italy. Its his prized possession.
Mateo: Think I dont know that? And besides I didn't break it. Paul did.
Marjan: Hm.
Paul: Mm-mm, dont even try it, Probie. Thing was working fine when I used it.
Mateo: And you probably packed the filter basket with extra fine grounds and ran it on a high temp, didn't you?
Paul: I enjoy a robust cup. I'm not gonna apologise for that.
Mateo: How many times do I have to tell you? It puts a strain on it. Probably overheated, threw off the water conditioning system.
Judd: This is why I've been saying we should just buy a coffee pot.
Ev: Amen to that.
Groans. Mateo keeps wacking it.
Judd: Hey, yeah, there you go. Go ahead and whack it. That ought to fix it.
Paul&Ev: Laughs.
Cap comes into the station.
Mateo: Oh, God, what am I gonna do?
Marjan: Youre gonna do the right thing. Fall on your sword and tell the truth.
Owen: Hello.
....
Mateo: Paul did it.
Paul: Objection!
Ev: Aren't you glad you came in today Cap?
Owen: Whats going on?
Mateo: See, I tried to make you one of those Cap's half-caf cap like you like, but Paul over packed the filter basket.
Paul: Again wow.
Mateo: No its true. I always try to warn him that his grounds are too tight. Throws off the calibration and--he broke your machine.
Owen: So unplug it. Get it serviced.
Mateo: So you're not mad?
Owen: At a coffee maker? Who cares?
Mateo: Did he really just say who cares?
Marjan: Did he really just call it a coffee maker?
Judd: Yeah, whatever going on with him this morning is--
Paul: Its bad.
Ev: Should someone go and check on him?
Judd: We all are, lets go!
Mateo: Hey Cap.
Owen: Uh, can I help you guys?
Marjan: Yeah we were actually gonna ask you the same question.
Owen: Hey if you wanna take a crack at these quarterly fire prevention and training totals, knock yourselves out.
Ev and Judd sit on the chairs the other three stand behind.
Ev: Look i hope your not expecting us to pretend like we don't see those dark clouds hanging over your head.
Owen: Dark clouds? There are no clouds.
Paul: Those frown lines between your eyes would beg to differ.
Owen: Has anyone ever told you that when you do your thing, it feels a little bit like a violation?
Marjan: Yes, all the time.
Judd: The therapy that you forced me into-- my guy's always saying that the first step to solving a problem is admitting that there is one.
Ev: Mine too.
Everyone stares at her.
Ev: Me and dad are having therapy to try and fix our relationship.
Owen: So is Cowboy Judd and his sister really gonna force me to talk about my feelings?
Judd: I'm as surprised as you are, you know?
Owen: Its TK. He may not be coming back after his medical leave.
Paul: Woah, what-- was there a complication?
Owen: No, medically, he's gonna have a full recovery. He just doesn't know whether he wants to do this.
Ev: I understand that.
Judd: The kid got shot, all right? So you gotta give him a minute.
Owen: Yeah, as many as he wants, but now he's saying he's not sure that he ever wanted to do it.
Mateo: Thats crazy. I mean, he was made to do this.
Owen: I agree. Even if he doesn't know who he is right now, I do, but I'm the one person who can't tell him.
Marjan: Nobody can, Cap.
Paul: Yeah, its something somebody has to figure out on their own.
Mateo: Exactly.
Ev: All we can do is be there for him in every other way, no matter what he decides.
Judd: Do you want me to talk to him.
Tim: Sorry to interrupt, guys, but Captain Strand, is there any chance you've spoken with captain Blake this morning?
Owen: No, why?
Tim: She hasn't come in. We haven't been able to reach her all day.
Owen: Thats odd.
Everything starts going crazy.
Judd: What the hell is that?
Owen: Some sort of a power surge.
Siren wails.
Nancy: Ow.
Marjan: Are we being hacked?
Owen: I dont know! Judd get up there and secure that ladder. Paul, Marjan kill the batteries in the rigs. Ev all the power tools go round take all the batteries out start with the most dangerous or the ones on the work benches.
After a little bit.
Mateo: Guys! Guys, check this out!
The TV is going on about the solar storm. The TV changes to some Chinese channel all of us still stood around in shock. We soon get called to the air med flight accident.
Paul: Woah somebody did not stick the landing.
Owen: All right lets deploy the rescue cushion. Dispatch can you hook me up with the pilot.
Dispatcher: I'm on it Captain Strand.
Owen: Thought you said they turned the power lines off.
Judd: Yeah they did that must have something to do with the storm.
Mateo: Those added electrons in the air need a way to get to the ground.
Marjan: Okay thanks professor now help us with the bag.
Mateo: Sorry.
Marjan: Ev be careful.
Dispatcher: I got you patched in with the pilot now Captain.
Owen: This is Captain Owen Strand, Austin FD. Who am I talking to?
Chuck: This is Chuck Granger.
Owen: Chuck how many people you got up there?
Chuck: Three souls sir.
Owen: All right, we've deployed a rescue pad directly underneath you. I need you to open your door.
Chuck: Captain, this is an AirMed flight. One of my patients is seriously ill.
Owen: Yeah i understand that. We just don't have that many options, and we're running out of time.
Ev Straps herself into a harness and takes one with her and starts the climb without telling anyone. She can hear it all over the radio.
Kim: This can't be the only option.
Owen: We're in the middle of a solar storm. These lines could go hot at any second.
Paul: Wheres Ev?
Ev: Kim, my names Evelyn, most people call me Ev I've climbed up here alright. I'm coming to get your husband but in order for me to do that I need you out of that plane so that I have room. I know this is scary but if you listen to me and my Captain you and your husband will get out of this.
Judd: EVELYN RYDER!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING, GET DOWN!!
Owen: Judd not now. I'll give you my word my firefighter will get your husband down and ill come up and help her.
Ev: Negative Cap, this is the whole reason I came up here in the first place. I'm lighter than the rest of you and I'm medically trained I've got this just get ready for him below.
In the plane.
Ev: Hi Rick, I'm Ev and I'm here to get you down.
Paul: Ev hurry up!!
Ev: I'm going to put this on you then I'll lower you down to my team and you're wife.
Rick: Oh shouldn't be difficult. I-I can't my legs.
Ev: Let me help you. The top secure yeah. Okay sit on the edge there, you good?
Rick: I'm good.
Ev: Alright. Into the radio. He's coming down. Your dad and uncle are gonna kill me when I get back on the ground.
Owen: into the radio. Okay he's down but you need to be getting out of there like now!!!
Judd: Ev, you gotta jump NOW!!!
Ev: Okay little one, I guess its time.
Paul: EV JUMP NOW!!
Marjan: COME ON EV!!
Mateo: EVVV!!!
Ev jumps just before the plane bursts into flames she makes sure to turn around mid air so that she lands on her back. ( Like Vic Hughes in Station 19 S7 E1.)
Paul&Judd: EVV!!
Mateo: Holy Crap Ev, you all right?
Ev: Yeah never better.
Nancy: Let me just. She checks to hear the baby's heartbeat. Sounds good, I would like to take you to the hospital though just to be sure.
Paul: What the hell were you thinking?
Owen: She wasn't.
Ev: Oh come on I had to do it.
Judd: Yeah well I'll give you a 10 for style and timing. The flip mid air was magnificent.
Tim: Come on lets go. We'll see you guys in abit.
The 126 head back to the station whilst Tim and Nancy take the other 4 to the hospital. They do a sonogram and are satisfied that both mother and baby are fine and Ev heads back to work with Nancy and Tim. No sooner are they back that they gey called to the intersection.
Owen: No more surprises today thank you.
Ev: Somehow I dont think you're gonna get your wish.
Owen: What?
Ev: I'm really good friends with Carlos he told me he was meeting TK, Carlos is there but I dont see TK.
Owen: Officer Reyes, where's TK?
Carlos: He's in the bus. The drivers still in there.
Owen: I'm going to get TK, Ev, Marjan  extraction tools, Judd, Mateo, Paul get some water on that fire lets go!!
Marjan and Ev get the driver out.
Owen: Woah, Woah.
TK: Hey, hey, wait-- dad, dad. You're gonna be okay Ellen.
He watches as Ellen is loaded into the ambulance.
Owen: Go on you too son.
TK: thank you.
We are just coming back from our last call as it is nearing the end of our shift TK is sat in the station waiting.
Mateo: Aquaman, back on dry land?
Owen: What are you doing here? How'd it go at the hospital?
TK: Nothing crazy--they just added a couple of extra stitches. I'm good.
Owen: Why do you look like you're about to jump off of a cliff?
TK: Hey guys? Uh, I wanted to talk to you about something, and, um, if you could, bare with me 'cause it's kind of a lot.
Paul: Mm.
TK: I'm an addict--
Owen: -TK.
TK: No, dad, I need to do this. Please?
....
TK: It's opioids, and a few months back, in New York, I had a relapse-- pretty bad one. I OD'd and my dad-- well, my captain-- he found me unconscious. My heart had stopped, and well, he did what he does best, and he saved my life, and the only reason I came down here was 'cause he forced me to. You know? What I'm trying to say is, I never really chose this for myself. Any of it. Not even becoming a firefighter. And, uh... - well.....
Judd: - Hey, hey. Whatever you gotta say right here, say it.
Ev: No judgement.
TK: All right.
Ev: Yeah.
Paul: They're right man. We got you, fam.
TK: Yeah, well, thats the point 'cause today at that intersection when that woman was dying, I would have given her everything I had to save her, and I did give her everything I had, but it wasn't enough... Until you showed up. All you guys. And I knew in that instant that not only was she gonna be okay but I was gonna be okay too because this is what I wanna do for the rest of my life. And, at least for now, this is where I wanna do it-- with you guys, so.... I choose this family..... Because this is-- this is where I belong. So, um...No thats... thats all I got. Chuckles.
Mateo: Aw, hey well, group hug.
TK: I dont think that's ne-- ooh, ooh, Mateo, stitches, dude.
We all have a group hug anyways.
TK: Ow. Ooh, someone's ripe. I'm guessing that's Judd.
Judd: Yeah, well, thats what you get for showing up at the end of a shift, man.
Paul: Proud of you.
TK: Hey, thanks man.
Ev: That took some real guts.
Owen: All right, everybody, hit the showers. Proud of everyone of you.
Marjan: Dont you mean " everyone one of y'all"?
Owen: Yeah, that too. Even if you do give the whole team a scare.
Ev: Not directed at me at all.
TK: Wait what am I missing?
Ev: I'll text ya.
A bit later.
Paul: Judd could not get out of here fast enough could he?
Marjan: Its 'cause he has someone to go home to.
Ev: I think he's still mad at me, but it is what it is.
Paul: Yeah, true that. I dont know about y'all, but something about facing down Armageddon has given me a ferocious appetite. You guys hungry?
Mateo: I could eat.
Marjan: You could always eat.
Paul: Wow.
Marjan: Its incredible.
Ev: Its so pretty.
Mateo: What is that?
Paul: That might be the most beautiful thing that we will ever see.
.....
Paul: From nature i mean obviously that doesn't include you or our baby.
Mateo: Wow.
Marjan: Lets go eat.
Ev: Maybe somewhere outdoors?
