"Hello, girls." The unnamed doctor says. His arms were folded and next to him was in fact, Peter.
"What's he doing here?" I ask, slightly annoyed.
"Well, Olivia will be switching rooms with him." He says and Peter gives us one of his innocent faces. I want to punch it.
"WHAT? That's not fair. Where will I go? I literally just came back." Olivia exclaims, she was pissed. Her fists were clenched and her eyebrows were angry. Very angry.
"YOU will be going where Peter originally was. With Robin," he chuckles. This was not funny. My only friend was gone from here.
"NO. I want the other girl to go. Olivia stays here." Peter declares. This was useless.
"Whatever, Peter. Since O and P come together in the alphabet, I guess it makes sense. Rose, come with me. You'll switch rooms instead." What on earth..?
"It's ROSALYNNE to you, sir."
"I spoke to your mother about this, my dear child." The unnamed doctor snarls. "Show me your arm, daughter." Well that was creepy. I hesitantly pull my sleeve up, numb by what he said. Daughter? I had a heart shaped birthmark on my arm. He then showed me his arm. The same thing was there.
"It could just be a coincidence." I say, folding my arms. I felt uneasy.
"What are you doing..? You know she faints when she overthinks-"
"QUIET, BOB. I am claiming MY DAUGHTER. Rosalynne, come to your father." He says, stretching his arms. Doctor Bob gives me a helpless look. My world was spinning around. I had a hunch, I guess I was right. He was my father. It made sense why he resembled me and how I recognised his voice and handwriting. I look up at Olivia, who sees me tearing up, then Peter, who looked worried. I tried one last question.
"Why did you put me in here?" I ask, my voice trembling.
"Because, Rose, you're better off here. And also, my name is Jeffery." Jeffery... my father's name was exact. I never felt so defeated in my life.
"I applied to college, weren't you proud? Where were you for the past ten years?" I cry, covering my face with my hands.
"Rose, I will not tell you again. Come. With. Me." He says, staring at me coldly.
"I need more proof." I then say, still sobbing.
"Ugh. Well, your passport is here if you want it, so is your birth certificate. Oh and Cassie is your mother's name. Cassandra to be exact." He says, gritting his teeth. I bury my head into my hands, feeling dizzy.
I then remembered that I kept a note from my father, the handwriting. I was unable to speak so I give him a pen and signal him to write a message next to it. If the handwriting matched, I was doomed.
"Ah, let's write the exact same thing." He says, and to my shock, it matched. This made me dizzier than ever before. I try to crouch down, but I was frozen in my spot.
"Wow... everything is...movin...g.." I say, my father gives me a smirk, then laughs as I sway back and forth.
"Oh no... ROSE." Doctor Bob rushes over. Olivia is just watching in pure terror. She always saw me smiling, however, I couldn't think straight. The last thing I saw was my father's evil grin as if he planned for this to happen.
I finally collapse, feeling helpless as I feel strong arms catch me before even hitting the floor.
