"You were always the center of attention! Always first place while I was second. Everything was always about you—you, you, you! But what about me?"

"WHAT ABOUT ME!?" His anger flared, eyes blazing with years of pent-up frustration and hurt.

"I've always strived to be recognized for something more than just your friend! Everyone, with their bickering mouths, whispered that I was merely clinging to you, using you for fame.

"I held the top spot before you ever set foot in this place, but the moment you arrived, it was like I vanished into thin air. Like my efforts, my achievements, meant nothing! NOTHING!"

"I was appreciated by all the students, admired by the teachers—until you arrived. You ruined everything. The day you walked into my life was the day my world crumbled."

His chest heaved with emotion as he continued, his eyes blazing with resentment.

"Now everyone is just fawning over you, praising you, complimenting you! They forget that I was there, that I was the Top ONE! I worked tirelessly for weeks to build my reputation, and you ruined it all in just a day!"

"Consider this a return favor." he sneered, his eyes boring into yours with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine.

"The next time you step foot in this school, it'll be the day of your downfall," he spat, his voice laced with venom.

As he departed, Atsumu glanced back at the scene with a smirk playing on his lips.

When you finally awoke, the soft sheets of the nurse's office bed were a welcome comfort.

Blinking away the haze, you noticed someone slumped over on a stool chair beside you.

His head was about to fall forward, and without thinking, you reached out to steady it with both hands. The contact stirred him, and his eyes fluttered open, revealing a pair of dull brown eyes that met your curious gaze.
