"Come on Green we're going to be late!" I called to my mentor as we flew around avoiding Icicle Sr's attempts to immobilize us.
"Well someone sure is excited. Looking forward to it? Or is it maybe more about seeing a certain red birdie?" Hal responded as he shot through the ice and got into a blast battle with the icy villain.
"Shut up!" I blushed and blasted Hal, giving him a few seconds of supercharge, which allowed him to overpower and knock out Icicle. "I just don't want us to be the last ones there. KF would never let me live it down."
Hal gave me a look that told me he knew that wasn't the only reason, "Uh huh, right. But you can't tell me that you aren't excited about this." He grabbed Icicle and helped load him into the prison truck that had arrived during the fight.
"Okay fine, yes I'm excited. Today's the day!" I replied with a smile.

When we got to the Hall of Justice I saw that we were in fact not the last ones to arrive, but the third group here.
"Hey Speedy, hi Rob." I called to my friends as Hal and I landed.
"Look who's here. How's it going Blue?" Robin was the one to acknowledge me first as Speedy just smiled and nodded at me. We had this weird thing going, we wouldn't really talk to each other unless necessary but we respected one another.
I smiled at him, "Can't complain really. You?"
He smirked as he saw what I was doing, "I've been waiting here all morning, for a beating, but the service is terrible."
"Shameful," I shook my head with a mock frown. We then both broke out laughing at the quoted conversation from our collective favorite movie franchise. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Hal smiling at me knowingly, Batman just staring at the two of us, and I'm pretty sure I heard Arrow chuckle but I can't be sure.
Sometime during that conversation Aquaman and his protege Aqualad had arrived which meant that Wally and Flash were going to be the last ones to get here. 'So going to rub that in later.' I looked over at Robin to see him smirking at me and I could tell he was thinking the exact same thing.
'Speak of the devil,' I thought as we heard them coming in. When they stopped running I walked up to them and said, "You're late. How can you both have super speed and still not make it on time?"
