it had been ten hours since april's livestream.
ten hours since her fight with her brother.
ten hours since her backstabbing old friend publicly announced to the whole world that lexie was involved with luke and alex sexually. basically letting every single person in the world know that her brother's friends were her fuck buddies.
if lexie were any other person, people wouldn't give a fuck. anyone could have fuck buddies. it wasn't such a big deal.
but she had a career, a career that depended fully in the public's opinion. and now, it wasn't only her fans behind her. it was the whole hockey league fans, entertainment fans, luke's, alex's, trevor's. anyone who was involved with her. now everyone cared.
her name was being dragged through every social media platform. claiming she was a whore. that luke and izzie had broken up because of her. that adrian had cheated on her cause she was sleeping with three people at the same time. she was the bad guy now and her career could be over before it even started.
she was sitting in her living room, her whole pr team making her dinner table their home as they tried to control the media.
she had no tears left, she was sure she must be dehydrated from crying for hours straight.

as soon as maddy had arrived with the team, she had demanded alex leave her apartment. she said that if someone were to find out he was there, it could only lead to more problems. so, cole and alex left, she wasn't sure where to but she was too catatonic to care and jack was also nowhere to be found so she was left alone, with her phone taken away and sitting in her apartment that didn't feel like a home anymore.
she was sure her body was seconds away from dissolving into the couch and disappearing from the world, at least until she heard maddy speak loudly.

"right now is not a good time trevor" maddy spoke in a firm voice, trying to close the door but trevor kept holding it open.
"look, she needs me, okay? i need to be with her" trevor pleaded, looking at maddy with puppy dog eyes that just made lexie mad.
"get the fuck out" lexie said with pure anger in her voice as she stood up and walked towards them, now able to see jack standing nervously behind trevor, looking guilty.
"lexie" trevor pleaded, moving his eyes from maddy to his mad sister, regret and guilt filling his body.
"get out! i don't want you here!" she exclaimed, closing their short distance and pushing trevor away from her doorway, making him trip over his feet as he lost balance.
