"are you there yet?"
"yeah, just got here"
"do you have everything ready?"
"yeah"
"are you gonna tell me what you're gonna do?" jack asked with an audible grin, making luke roll his eyes in obvious annoyance.
"absolutely not" the younger hughes shut down, shaking his head when his brother groaned.
"come on, man!"
"i'm done having this conversation" luke laughed gently, already taking his phone away from his ear.
"do not hang up-!"
luke had in fact hung up, and with an accomplished smile too.
he was tiredly walking through the airport with his bag on his shoulder, thinking of all the things he had planned for the day.
he was nervous, understandably, but most of all he was excited.
he quickly called an uber and gave them lexie's apartment building adress and in less than fifteen minutes, he was standing outside.
his whole body was swimming in nerves, but he tried to shove it down the second he started knocking softly on the door.
he waited no more than a few seconds when the door was pulled open, revealing a lazy looking lexie with her phone in hand.
"oh my god! luke!" she exclaimed happily, letting her phone fall to the floor and quite literally jumping into luke's arms, something he received happily.
"what's going on! is luke there! why is he there!" luke heard a familiar voice from her phone exclaim, his brain quickly realizing it was luca.
"shut up luca!" lexie yelled happily, shoving her head into luke's neck with a grin "what are you doing here!" the girl asked as luke walked into the apartment with her still in his arms, closing the door with his leg.
"i wanted to see you" he said simply with a soft smile, one that she actually didn't see cause she was too preoccupied processing that he was, in fact, here.
"guys, what's going on! luke, why are you there!" luca kept yelling through the phone as luke tumbled down into the couch, peppering her face with kisses as she laughed "am i witnessing the creation of a child!"
luke groaned jokingly into her neck, quickly standing up and grabbing the phone from the entrance, only then realizing it was a facetime call "hey luca"
"luke! what the fuck!"
"bye luca!" luke exclaimed with a laugh, hanging up before luca could open his mouth and throwing the phone in the kitchen counter before leaping into her waiting arms again.
