"is it bad to admit i cried when i listened to your album?" luke said the second the call connected.

a couple weeks had passed of them officially being a couple and their excitement hadn't wore down even a little. though they were sad they were apart, they still called everyday and texted each other constantly.

"what? luke" lexie said bewildered, letting out a little chuckle in confusion.

"i was listening to it right now and i don't know, it just gets me going. it makes me want to scream 'you had me, you had me for a minute'" luke said as he sang terribly off-key, making lexie burst into a fit of giggles at his ridiculousness "'the sad thing, is you never would admit that you had me! you had me for a minute there!"

"it sounds ironic when you sing it" she said between laughter as she got more comfortable on her bed "you're aware that song's about you?"

"yeah, still. it's so good. don't even get me started with guilty conscience" her boyfriend said with a dramatic roll of his eyes, acting like a total drama queen.

"this is so weird" she said with a grin, finding cute how he was her number one supporter through everything.

"let me be a hype girl for my girl, even if she's completely roasting and ending me in her new hit, and my favorite, album" luke smirked softly, bringing one of his arms to support the weight of his head, flexing his arm for a second and distracting lexie for a moment.

"for a good reason" she reminded with a smirk, making him get all serious and nod along.

"completely valid"

"so, favorite track?" she asked with a smile, closing her eyes for a moment from the sleepiness she still felt.

"the whole album" he answered immediately without hesitation, making her laugh once again.

"come on!"

"i'm serious!" he smiled happily, watching how cute his girfriend was when she was sleepy and badly wishing he was there on her arms.

"you have to choose one"

"okay, so if i had to choose my top three it would probably be guilty conscience, grave, you broke me first and think later. no specific order"

"that's four songs and you broke me first isn't even on the album" she chuckled, shaking her head amusedly.

"i stand by what i said"

"you damn well know think later is your favorite one" lexie smirked teasingly, for a moment getting swallowed by the memories.

"maybe. but just because i can imagine you going full out on tour and because it describes how we met"
