Pt.6 the 60s cigarettes

I continued walking taking the same shortcuts and routes

that I had walked down and became so acquainted with throughout the past 12 years of my life

Once I had gotten nearer to the middle of town Where all the shops and restaurants were

I checked my pockets and found that I had $2

so I decided to take a detour from my house

and instead walk to Vincent's drug store because I wanted some snacks

Which almost happened everyday because I lived having junk food

On my way to the convenient store I bumped into someone

I look up from the sidewalk to see who I bumped into

As I do I see those very familiar hazel eyes that belonged to Benny

I always loved his eyes they were just so dreamy

I probably could look at them forever and I would get bored of them

"Oh sorry woahh" benny says after bumping into me

I smiled at him and he gave the same gesture back

I watched as He was staring at me undressing me with his eyes

"Like what you see Rodriguez?" I chuckle

snapping him out of the trance he was put into

"God damn can you leave Phillips mi amor cause I need you!" He practically yells

"Wow benny your really cocky today aren't you" I laugh and he chuckles

"Well when I see your pretty face yes I am" he stands a little taller

"Mhm you need me?" I lean in

"I need you so bad, I want to do so many things to you Conway and you don't even understand" he seductively whispers into my ear

He talked in a hushed and low tone that sent shivers down my spine and made my knees weak

"Well too bad rodriegeuz you can't have me" I smirk before walking away

"Hey wait Conway! Are you going to Becca.F's party tonight?" I turn and stare

"Yes I will you?" He nods

" well then I Can't wait to see you there hot stuff!" He yells doing finger guns before jogging away

I scoff walking into the convenient store

I grab all the usual stuff I did as well as a pack of cigarettes

"Y/n?" Doug says holding the cigs

"For my mom here is a note" I hand him a note she gave me a few weeks ago

"Fine, anyways how's it going with Benny?" I almost gag on air

*Gotta love the 60s right?* I think as he rings up the cigs

"What do you mean?" I started giggling

"I'm not dumb I see you two" he wiggles his eyebrows

Doug was in the same year as me in school

We were sort of friends in school but

outside of school we never really talked

Though I mean we talked every time I came to Vincent's store which was every day

So I considered him a friend even if we never hung out

"Nothing is happening I'm with Phillips Doug" he gives a sarcastic uhuh nod

"Oh shush Doug now bye see you tomorrow as usual right?" I ask tilting my head

He nods and I walk out the door

I'm about to start walking away when I run back into the store

"Are you going to the party?" I ask abruptly

"No I have work tomorrow" he sighs

"Lame!" I yell before leaving once again

I'm passing a alley when I hear someone

"Stop!" I hear a girl yell

I walk down the alley placing my bags behind a box

"Come on I know you want me!" A man is pinning a girl

who looks only to be the age of at least fifteen to the alley way wall

"Oh my gosh Julie is that you!" I exclaim hugging the girl as the guy stands aside

"Need help?" I whisper

"Yes" she whispers

"Girl we haven't talked in what two months? How about we go catch up!" I smile

"Yes let's go!" I walk with her and grab my bags as we walk

After we ran at least three blocks we stopped

We stood there for a few seconds so that we both could catch our breath before she spoke

"Thank you so much" she states

"No problem are you okay though did he do anything?" She shakes her head

"No thankfully but he tried" I nod

We walked a little further until we saw a bench

I offered that we sat down and she agree as she was still catching her breath

Once she had caught her breath and was ready I asked the question

"Do you want to talk about what happened? If not I can just stay and be support"

"No no it's fine I am ready to talk about it" she assured me

So then We started going through the story with her first telling me all the details about what happened before I found her

And we continued talking about what happened leading up to when I found her

So soon She told me the whole story as we sat on the bench

"Hey y/n I think I might head home I feel im being watched" Lucy tells me looking around nervously

I don't know why but I felt like she shouldn't go home

I mean if that guys really was watching her

then she would lead him straight to her house

So in the moment I came up with a reason that convinced her not to go home

"Hey uhm how about you hangout with me for the day just so in case he followed us that way he won't know where you live" she nods and we continue walking

I looked at our surrounding which seemed very familiar

I recognized one of the street signs and knew we were going the same route that I would normally take to get to the baseball field

"Do you play baseball?" I ask as we walk to the baseball field

"A little why?" She gives a puzzled look at the sudden question

"Cause that's what we are doing today" I say as we walk onto the tigers field

This chapter was more of a filler but I liked it

Also uhm so if you read my first story I wasn't very graphic with kissing

But in this book I'm going to explore a little and see how comfortable I am with writing different things
