Lily practically never dreams. Her last dream she could picture of was a random sunny beach with cats sunbathing on towels. She had no idea where that came from.
This time it was very different. The first thing that she saw was the sky being pink. Usually, she would be standing in her dreams. When she had an instinct to move, she saw herself lying down on the forest ground. Carefully, she slowly sat up, just incase somehow she hurt herself in this weird dream.
Everything about the place seemed neat, a little bit too neat to her liking. The green grass looked freshly cut, the tree leaves were all green with no other coloring and bunched up in one big group.
"Near." A sudden voice echoed from what it sounded like right next to her ear. She whipped her head back and saw no one there. There was no indication of what the voice sounded like. If it was a woman or a man. Old or young?
As she started to question what and where the voice could have came from, wind blew from behind her and lifted her black wavy hair to the point where it covered her face.
"Near." The voice came again, and louder than before. It was like the voice was making the wind blow to a direction where it wanted Lily to go.
Once she thought it over, she decided to follow where this weird voice and wind wanted her to go towards. After walking around for a while, she did notice that there were no animals walking around, even insects. Was this even a real forest?
Lily didn't know if she was even going to the right way. Everything looked the same as she walked. She didn't hear that voice again, so maybe she was. She wasn't even getting tired, so she stopped and took a look at herself if she was really okay. There was nothing wrong, all her clothes were intact, no injures, she felt no tiredness. Was this even a dream?
"You?!" Another, but unfamiliar voice startled her to look back and saw that it was really a person who spoke.
"Vincent?!" With the shock of seeing Vincent in her dream, in of course a blue shirt and black shorts, her alarm scared her awake.
She had to take a few calming deep breathes before taking in what was going on, and turning off her annoying blaring alarm clock. It even got her sister close enough to wake up.
As Lily sat up, she felt her back sticking to the back of her long sleeve shirt. Without checking the rest of her body, she could tell that she had been sweating the entire time. Looking back to when she was going to sleep, she had to wear two blankets plus the long sleeve shirt and sweatpants from how cold it was getting. Now she is covered in sweat. That had never happened before, and yet, she has never had that kind of dream before.
While getting ready, Lily could not stop picturing Vincent in her dream. He dressed almost the same way as he did for school. Wearing shorts and shorts all the time. She guessed that cold weather doesn't affect him as much as others. His bed head was pretty cute. The way his black hair was all over the place. It was comforting to see that side of him.
After thinking about Vincent, Lily remembered where she was able to see him, but didn't know how or why? Why was he there anyway?! Did he do something? Did she do something? She doesn't remember doing anything that could have caused her and Vincent to be in the same dream. Was Vincent really in her dream? Or did she dream that he was there and he wasn't really there to begin with?! This was giving Lily a real bad headache, even if it's still the morning.
She must have been in her head for a while, because she had no idea how she got to school so fast, and into the school hallways. She didn't know how many times she had to wake up her older sister to drive her and to school. Or what she packed up for Brunch and Lunch. It all went by so fast.
Her mind was still trying to process everything from last night and this morning that she accidentally ran into a person. "Oh my god, I'm sorry!" She gasped.
"Sorry. I-" Without looking at the persons face she noticed it was a male and he was wearing a blue shirt with brown shorts. Even the voice sounded familiar. It was Vincent, who did not seem so pleased to have ran into her.
"Oh, it's you." His tone changed from apologetic to annoyance.
Lily sighed. "Hey, Vincent." She also noticed that he had combed his hair down. It looked nice.
"See yeah." He said quickly and started to walk away, but Lily stopped him before he continued further.
"Wait!" She took his shoulder.
"What?" He groaned.
"We have to talk." She demanded as she took her hand away.
"About what?" Lily crossed her arms and tilted her head as she squinted her eyes, trying to quietly show him what.
Instead, Vincent slouched his shoulders, showing that he knew what she was talking about. "Ugh, now?"
"Yes now! Come on." Before he could argue, Lily took Vincent's arm and quickly brought them both into an empty classroom, or at least she hoped was empty. She also didn't want to bring too much attention to it so she kept the lights off. The windows were bringing enough light in anyway.
Lily was checking out the windows incase anybody was going to come in while Vincent said something first. "So it was real?"
She turned back to him. "It sure felt like it."
"Why did it happen anyway?" He crossed his arms. "Did you make it happen?"
"No! I didn't!" She shouted. "I was going to ask you the same thing."
"Well if we didn't do anything, then who did?!" Vincent nearly shouted.
"I don't know! Why are you asking me?" She argued.
"Because I've never had this happen to me before or heard anyone experience this."
"I've never had this happen to me either!" Now the headache she was experiencing had gotten worse and made her too tired to say anything. Judging by how quiet Vincent got and couldn't even look at her, it seemed like he was tired of all of this too.
There was something that Lily theorized, but didn't seem convinced that it could be real. Why not tell Vincent, it couldn't hurt, right? "Um, I don't think we could be the only ones dealing with this."
She didn't expect it, but he looked at her and arched a brow. "Why do you think that?"
"We are in multiple classes together, but there is also other people in those classes as well."
It did take him a few seconds to figure out what she was saying. Once he finally understood, his eyes widened. "You think those two are seeing each other in their own dreams?"
Lily shrugged. "Maybe? It is just a theory."
"I don't know if I hope it is just a theory." The bell rang shortly after Vincent talked. Before the two left for their first period classes, they agreed on having a little discussion with Rayne and George.
