Anxiety and stress was coursing through the four students bodies. They could barely talk and listen to their friends, or even listening to them. Their stomachs couldn't digest their food well enough that they couldn't finish it.
The bell for the kids to go to their next classes startled the four and caused their anxiety to rise.
As students were going into their own classrooms, the four gathered in front of Mrs. Vesper's classroom.
"You guys ready?" Rayne was the first to ask.
"Nope." George automatically answered.
"Us either." Lily said for both her and Vincent. She kind of guessed from how tightly he was holding in to the handle of his big rolling backpack.
"Are we actually going to assign someone to ask this time?" Vincent asked, annoyed.
"Aw, Do we have to?" George groaned.
"It's way better than having to guess who is going to ask again." Rayne mentioned.
"Well, I don't want to do it." George opted out.
"Surprise, surprise." Vincent mumbled.
"I'll do it." Lily volunteered, shocking everyone and getting their eyes towards her. "I'll ask the questions."
"Are you sure?" Rayne asked.
She nodded and sighed. "Yeah. I already got some of the questions memorized by now."
"Works for me." George agreed.
"I guess." Vincent as well.
"Alright, let's go in then." Rayne was the first enter after she opened up the door with the other following in after.
It looked like the universe didn't want the four students to ask the teachers about the weird dreams. Mrs. Vesper decided to do a presentation on the projector for the next unit. It could be because of the unexpected adult visitor that was just sitting in the back corner. Even though the visitor left minutes after, she kept going for what felt like the whole period, and the students had to get something else done too.
Finally, when she was done and passed out the work for the period, Lily did find a time to raise her hand. "Um, Mrs. Vesper, I have a question."
"Oh, yes. Lily, I do have to talk to you about something as well. Why don't we talk outside?"
Everyone's eyes darted up, interested and curious on why she needed to talk to Lily?
They tried their hardest to keep their sudden interest hidden, but Mrs. Vesper reminded them, "Alright everyone, let's get back to work."
She then opened the door with Lily following behind her.
"So, Lily I wanted to talk to you about something that you had from your elementary school."
"What is it?"
"Your speech therapy." No wonder she brought Lily out outside to talk about it. Barely anyone who has gone to speech therapy hates others who never had it hear about it. She didn't really care if the other three heard about it, other classes, maybe.
"You might have heard about the speech therapist we have here at Coldburne, Mrs. Jezebel?"
Lily nodded. "Yeah, I think so."
"Well, since it is the first week of school, we didn't want to start it until next week." Mrs. Vesper handed Lily a pink note. It read, Thursdays, 10:30 to 11:10. Tuesdays, the same time.
"Those are the days and times when you are going to have to be there. On Tuesday, Mrs. Jezebel will come in Mrs. Brightly's classroom and pull you out for a bit. She will go over more on what you will be doing through out the year."
