The Negotiator - Kashyyk
Orbiting above the green world of the Wookies, the Open Circle Fleet was busy resupplying when new intelligence came in; a high value fleet was moving through the sector and was allegedly enroute to attack Kuat Drive Yards, one of the biggest producers of Republic ships. Unfortunately for the Open Circle Fleet, they were not equipped for this fight, with many of their vessels severely depleted of ammunition, fuel and food since their last campaign, it would be foolish to attack a fully prepared Separatist armada.
However, as fate would have it, Blue Team was temporarily stationed alongside the fleet and were eager to go on a new mission. With the solution to their problems apparent, General Kenobi summoned Blue Team to the bridge of his flagship. "Sir, you wanted to see us?"
"Indeed Master Chief, I have a mission for your team, and a rather dangerous one at that." Kenobi replied before Fives asked what the mission was. Explaining how there was a massive fleet of CIS warships heading through their sector towards Kuat Drive Yards and how it was going to be Blue Team's mission to slow them down. If they could hold back the fleet for long enough, then forces from the 104th and replenished ships from the 212th and 501st could intercept the enemy, but they needed time.
Coming up with a very bold strategy in his head, Chief asked if any Jedi wanted to be part of this mission. Seeing how it couldn't hurt to add more personnel to the mission, Obi-wan confirmed that Anakin, Ahsoka and himself would join them. Asking what the strategy was, Kenobi was met by a very Skywalker-styled plan; sneak into the flagship of the fleet and blow it up. "And how are you going to get inside, need I remind you that it is an entire fleet we'll be going up against?"
"General, I'm sure whatever the Chief has planned will work out just fine." Commander Cody spoke from behind with Captain Rex following closely behind him, stating that they would also like to join them on this mission. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Obi-wan gave them the all clear to get whatever they needed ready for the mission. As Blue Team departed for the Spirit of Fire to gear up, Chief walked with the 212th and 501st de-facto leaders and asked how many ships they could rally at the moment. "Chief, we got one Venator along with two Arquitens fully loaded and ready to rock n' roll. Why?"
"Cause that's how we're going to sneak in."
With all of Blue Team loaded up in the Spirit of Fire alongside Kenobi, Skywalker, Tano, Rex, and Cody, Chief gave them the full plan. The strategy was that the three Republic ships would intercept at the next point where the CIS fleet would drop out and engage the fleet. They would obviously not be able to win, but if they focused fire on one ship, they could delay the Seppies' next jump and provide an opportunity for the Spirit to make it's insertion. "Chief, I'm liking this plan so far, but how are we going to dock with the flagship with the Spirit, its not small."
"The Spirit might be too big, but we're not" Jesse chimed in, seeing where this plan was going. Motioning for the trooper to continue the brief, Chief listened as one of his teammates detailed the next phase. "The plan is for us to EVA jump across ships and land on the flagship. It's risky, but if it works we'll have the element of surprise."
"Well, their sensors won't pick us up and it's not like the droids will be looking out the window." Ahsoka thought out loud, meanwhile Anakin was just smiling at the borderline meltdown Obi-wan was having. The bearded general had to deal with all of Anakin's 'reckless' plans and now even the apparently not-so-level-headed Spartan was doing it. "Master, you ok?"
"Anakin, up until this point I always thought your plans were the ones that were going to get me killed..."
"Well, technically it was the Council's plan that got you killed... sir." Fives spoke from in the corner, causing everyone to enter an abrupt silence, as if waiting for either Anakin or Obi-wan to explode. Either that, or for someone (Rex) to smack him across the head. Instead, Anakin started laughing, inciting similar replies from all except the Jedi Master. With morale high and the strike team ready to go, Obi-wan begrudgingly gave the go-ahead for the three cruisers to make the jump to the designated co-ordinates.
